Maybe if they paid there fair share the Tax rate wouldn't be sky rocketing so high in New Hartford,
What are they going to do when the raise the Taxes 53% higher ?

I agree with this statement. For those living at the Glen and not wanting to pay taxes, no wonder New Hartford is $300,00 in the hole.

They drop the enterance fee of $200,000.00 and instead of paying $2,000.00 a month you pay like $2,500.00-$3,00.00 a month instead.

If we move to the Glen, will we hafta pay the proposed 54% tax increase, or will we be discounted somehow b/c of this?

This place and that Schuyler Commons in N. Utica are both scraping for tenents. I heard the SC ad today and it was very good but it was filled with lies. All the rents are over $1100. per month (is that affordable for seniors) and they say free heat. They don't say you have to pay for the electric for the fan to bring the heat into your apartment from the boiler room. Aren't the Preswick people that payed the shot in the beginning a little disturbed byt the "rentals"

I hear the CEO is very worried, was told he will retire before the the complex turn into low cost housing. well of course he makes $160.000 per year and most of that pay check is our tax dollar we pay so the elderly can be taken care of at that nursing home.
the home is always short staffed etc.
i think the best part is that the people that bought home at the glen for the high price tag have been ripped off.

CEO gets a fat check AND a car. Employees there are underpaid, which is why they can't keep them there.

I have a grand parent looking into possibly moving into one of these retirement communities. Does anyone know about Preswick Glen ? I have read a few negative comments about the place on here, that concerns me because it is quite a investment and it dosen't sound like it is doing very well. Can anyone offer and information or advice ? Thanks.
