He is correct, it's not the bike, it's the clown operating it causing the problems. Most people have probably experienced a pack of these idiots speeding and weaving through traffic. Or how about the wheelies and standing on the seat going 80 mph down the road. Now look and see how many hide the tags up under the rear fender. The police should go after them mercilessly for every violation. Soon they will lose their drivers license and it will be too expensive to operate one.

Chronister needs to focus more on his job running the county.

Spike strips should take out one of those things pretty quickly... when they're doing like 120...

Hey Moron Locator the undertail tags and lights are legal in PA and most other states.
It is the idiots that do the wheelies and stunt riding on the street that are the problem not the bikes. Just like the idiot punk with their lowered wanabe sport cars racing on 30 and 83 trying to race the little pieces of crap like in the movies.

I know, that's what I said. As for the tags- no they are not legal in MD. They need to be at the rear of the vehicle in a visible position and have to be illuminated at night. Hidden and bent at an angle under the fender doesn't cut it.

There is an open field behind where I live and a bunch of four wheelers/crotch rockets/mini bikes ride those damn things making so much noise non stop. It is enough to make you go freaking crazy. Go ahead and call the police, they do not care as they will just run when they see them coming, police can’t chase them because if something happened to the little pinheads the Police will be sued because they chased them…tiresome.

Here is what a true undertail system look like. It does light up the tag.

Bill, if they used them the right way I guess it would be okay. The clowns around here then bend the tag face down so it can't be read. They can then run from the police and no tag is available. That seems like a nice setup you found though, if used properly.

Yeah some of the guys on these bikes ride like fools... But a 91 year old women should not be behind the wheel of a car.
People at retirement age should have to take a drivers test to see if they are fit to be on the street.Maryland is doing such a thing now but here in Pa. we are more concerned "how it would affect getting re-elected"

Maybe then they would not run over our children.
The 19 yr old young man who was killed was not riding fast and never did. He had a 250cc bike.. Not much of a racing bike..

How many times do you see an elderly person do things behind the wheel then say to yourself that person should not be on the road...

One last thing, I am at retirement age and would support having to take a test so I know I won't kill someones child because I should not have been on the road..

Chronister is at best a boob. He thinks he can legislate common sense. Others have stated the point beautifully. Education is the key not more government intervention.

Chronister whines about people on bikes. He should not throw stones since he is too stupid to use his turn signals while he is driving. I yelled at him when I was pulling into a convenience store. He came in and the glare from his teeth nearly blinded me. He should have his license revoked for being stupid.
