York, Pennsylvania - Doctor sues York Hospital

A former York Hospital surgical resident has filed a federal lawsuit against the hospital and WellSpan Health, alleging he was discriminated against because he is Iranian.

I am niether siding with Wellspan or Dr. Mohebi, but the hospital could have chosen people with better qualifications for the position. Dr. Mohebi could have had the highest scores but how is this med student around patients? How do the patients respond to the doctor's care and recommendations? There are many different nationalities and races in this hospital. Why would the hospital start discriminating now?

Another thing! I know personaly I would rather Be worked on by a AMERICAN than a hard to understand Arab. If he really wants a job he should Go to the Veterans Hospital. Try telling your problems to a Phychiatrist you cant even understand!

Better yet, get him a phychiatrist', knowing how stupid you are, as per your above post, and you are shipped to Lebanon Veterans Hospital. But you die on the way as there were no AMERICAN doctors to take care of you in York. You may eat your words before your life is over. FYI, DOCTOR Mohebi's dog is named 'MAVIS'.....because 'MAVIS' stands for 'BEYOND STUPID' in Arabic!

He's probably just a lousy doctor. There are so many doctors(who are from different countries) at the hospital, I can't really see why they would discriminate against him.

This is the exact reason he was not promoted. The same ignorant racist mind set is all over York County, in the hopsitals, the schools, the government. It is clear why he was not promoted. Sometimes I wish those with this "Pennsatuckey" mindset would really read and learn their history. Your descendents spoke German or Polish and someone who didn't undertsand him had to cure him or try to heal him, oh I forgot same skin color makes it ok not the speech. before you start to tell a person to go home to their country you must first ask your self, Where was my family from? people often for get that this country was built from the people of other countries. if the people of york werent so stupid i would have stayed, other people have to know that york is a town that is run by Wal-mart!!! for a place that is 15 miles long and 20 miles wide there ore 4 walmarts... i rest my case

Dr. Mohebi was a very nice, pleasant, well spoken gentle man. I don't know what type of doctor he was but I have not met a more pleasant person in quite a while......and I could understand everything that came out of his mouth! York isn't the only place that has "stupid" people....if you watch the world news you will see that STUPID is everywhere! I wish the best for Dr. Mohebi.

It is sad to read so many racist comments here.
The fact is, he filed a law suit. That is what our court's are for, to separate fact from fiction and make decisions that are appropriate. Do they get it right all the time, NO!! Who does? Do you? This Dr. is handling this matter appropriately, he is an American citizen and he has the right to handle it this way. You and I weren't there. But obviously he has a case or a lawyer would not take it.
Personally, I am thankful to have middle easterners living in our country, learning our way of life. Perhaps they will be the one's to save us from the radical islamic groups. However, it is talk like some of what I'm reading above that only tends to hurt our image as the land of the free and may lead them to do what women and blacks have had to do in the past! Fight for the right to be free!! Good for Dr. Mohebi for attempting to trust the system and not get badgered by small minded people.

Dr Mohebi is a horrible physician, his patients are dissatisfied with his manner, his staff does not like to work with him. Parsa Mohebi does horrible hair transplants. I would not trust my head with him if it were free. He is just trying to make money off of an excuse of racism. If he were a good doctor he would not sue the medical center that got him to were he is today.

His approach is very scientific and his medical knowledge is written all over his website, presentations and publications. One other thing to throw into the mix. Like every other workplace there are internal POLITICS. Who knows who he pissed off. We all have experienced this, trust me there are LOTS of politics in the medical field.

From these postings I get an impression that there might be alot of rednecks in York. My message to all the rednecks is to deal with it since you will see more of us in your workplace. It also means that we bring more money to your area. So be nice and try to get over your hang ups about foreigners living amongst you. Your ancestors went through the same ordeal so don't dish it out to the next guy.
