There's something wrong about publishing deliquent tax payers in this economy. Leave it to YDR.

Putting property taxes on credit cards is only going to carry us so far. Thank you York for the extra fees, we really needed those at this time.

Pay your bills and you don't have to worry about being embarrassed by the paper. On every news outlet message board, people have been saying "in this economy" as an excuse for not raising taxes, not giving other people raises, etc. Stop making excuses, live within your means, find a job or start a business and make something of yourself. If you fail in the US, you have no one to blame but yourself.

I agree with you 100%. It is unfortunate, but nobody wants to take responsibility for their futures and admit that whether they succeed or fail, it is likely their own doing. I paid my way through college without ever taking a single student loan. My mortgage was paid off within 10 years of buying my home. I have paid cash for every car I have purchased in the past 15 years(I drive a late model Mercedes) and my credit cards are paid in full each month. You sail your own ship. Stop making excuses. If you fail in the US, you have no one to blame but yourself.

You can download the list of deliquent tax payers from the county's website every month. It is PUBLIC record and YDR can print it if they want.

Unless the people work at Harley or BAE then some of those who post most negatively on the YDR would say , "they deserve it." Not that those people could fall on hard times , also.

Wow. I didn't even go through the whole list and am blown away by how many individuals and businesses I know who were on it.

I won't call out anyone or anything by name since I don't know a person's individual situation and because the article states that the list may not be up to date, but damn, there's a lot of money out there on the table that needs to be collected.
