100 calls were made to the listed phone numbers that parents had on file for their children in cases of emergencies and out of the 100, only 12 were up to date. Now for some, this may sound like news worthy to be printed. But for those who deal with these type situations contantly, having 12 current and updated phone numbers on file out of a hundred is a constant, constantly.
Of those 12,
1.Some did not speak english.
2.Some did not have mimutes
3.Some were in the baby's name
4.Some payments were late and were turned off the next day.
And, if you really wanna know the deal, some parents and students were so tuned into MTV and BET TV that days went by before they heard the news that there was a thing called the Swine Flu.
If you really want the word out to the student body, all you have to do is buy an ad on these TV stations, perhaps done by Snoop Dog or 50 Cent.

Why is there such language barriers? Dont they all have to recite the Pledge of Allegence to become a U.S. citizen?

Hell, three quarters of them are ILLEGALS...illegals don't pledge allegiance to anything except a tight pair of shoes, loose pussy and a cold beer.
Besides, with grandma raising the kids, she couldn't walk that far to the school to pick up the kids even if she were called.
Possibly they should spend at least 41 million and secure an emergency system like York County has, which never seems to be working. Or in an emergency, like we had in the '40's' at school; if you shit your pants in class, they sent you down to the locker room to take a shower, you sat in school remainder of day, and were told to stay the hell home next day. Guess what, some of us are still living. No, I am not bitter. Just pissed off that federal, state, local governments stay up all night, thinking, scheming for ways to piss more money away. Oh well, it is called progress.
At least we seniors will not make a mistake on one-way streets in York City, since soon they will all be two-way.
Tell me they are kidding!!!
