Should Dumpert racing be told not to show up at Junction Speedway?

After the latest of the Dumpert saga at I-80 track should serious actions be taken? If you hit a parked car in the pits and roll it what is next??

I think something needs to be done to get these young men's attention, both Cory and Kyle. I think a minimum of a one year suspension from racing needs to be enacted,(even longer would be better) with anger management classes being taken. These young men need to learn there are consequences for their actions and that the world does not revolve around them and their race cars. The problem I foresee though is if Cory can't race on a track, he will racing on the streets of York even more than he is now!

What's the story here? Why do you want them barred from racing?

Sunday evening at I-80 raceway, there was the usual "rubbin' and racin'" going on. Well, the two drivers involved were disqualified and sent to the pits. One of these individuals was the oldest Dumpert boy. Upon entering the pit area, the Dumpert boy, whose car was still traveling at a high rate of speed, T-boned the other involved individual's car. The second car rolled over. The second driver had already taken off his helmet and harness, so he was pretty vulnerable. Needless to say, this young man was taken to the hospital and the Dumpert boy was arrested. While I can understand being upset for being disqualified from the race, I don't know how any person can justify attacking another person with a car. This scenario could have had so many different endings. What if the second car had rolled into a pit crew/crowd? How many more people could have been injured from one person's poor judgement? From what I understand, NASCAR will rule sometime Thursday as to if either of the boys will be racing again.

An blatant assault? Sounds like jail is maybe where he should be. That would solve the problem of his racing career.

Wonder why this wasn't reported in YNTs. They generally cover most accidents, assaults, & arrests. I guess they are asleep at the wheel, as usual!

Yes, it was a blatant assault, with a deadly weapon, his car. I know both brothers have done jail time for their driving "antics" on the streets of York, so don't know if jail time for this infraction will even register with him. I'm not sure what it will take to get through to him. As for the YNTs not reporting on it, maybe there will be something once the NASCAR ruling comes about. From what I understand, there was actual video footage of the "accident" on KPTM/FOX out of Omaha. I've read numerous blogs about the event and the majority of people posting are calling for banning him from racing.

Sounds like he {Cory} will be suspended, NASCAR liscense revoked for a year and a fine. Can bet he still has NOT learned his lesson! Always an excuse for everything he does. Maybe he needs mandatory anger management. Then his mother needs stealing therapy.

It stats at home and it got worse as they got older...never accountable and parents who live in denial. sad way for some talented boys to end up.want more? ask past g.f.s and their parents about the sexual and physical abuse they have endured..?? Ask the guys who have had their vehicles vandalized by these idiots ! 3-5 or more...mark my words. Sad.

Was aware of the anger issues and restraining order against them from parents. But the sexual and physical abuse at their age totally out of control. Going the rate they are going right now 3-5 will be the best they get. They will not like being Bubba's love toy!!!
I do agree with the future of these 2 kids have never had to suffer ANY consequences. They are in for a rude awakening.

It looks to me like he chased the guy off the track & broad sided him, causing the car to flip.

The video isn't on the article now, so you need to go to the right on the videos & do a search. I put in "I-80" (w/out the quotes) and got the video.

What do you expect, ever seen the black eyes their mother has had over the years. Where do you think they learned the abusive behavior from?

Yeah, that's it. Someone elses fault for their behavior & actions. Well they better grow up soon and start being responsible for themselves. I bet prison will teach them that!

It's a hard lesson for the young man to learn, but it's been a long time coming!

Make no bones about it, I know for a FACT and from a respected and trusted source that there is no more vital information to come forth in this matter. The court of public opinion has ruled and the kid has been found guilty. Now he just needs to be a man and accept his pushisment without crying and whining. Time to get behind the wheel and take control of your life, be responible for yourself and respectful to others and maybe the court will give you early parole. It's up to you now. Your behavior will dictate the outcome of your life - just like it does on the race track!
