I was at Cal Aero Preserve Xmas party last night when his mom came in and made the announcement. His name is Kyle Tran and he really wanted to be at the party but didn't show up. I couldn't sleep all night because of this and my kids attend the school, the park ...everything there, it;s so scary..

The news headlines still say he is missing, but I did not see anyone or anything on the way to the school right in his neighborhood. No police cars, no searching, no Amber alert or at least neighbors with signs recruiting people or standing out on the busy weekday streets with an enlarged Kinko's photo...nothing!

I am just glad they found him...his poor mom was devastated..and then I am sure never as happy to see him. He is lucky, the area was quiet last night and the party was emptying by 7:30p.m and the school is attached to the park. We didn't see anyone.
Thank god he is safe....had my nap..all is good in the neighborhood!

Yes my son has been found. I'm his mom and can't thank enough to everyone who helped and prayed for him. It was unlikely for Kyle to leave. which scared us and he had a fever and a headache and he had just been lectured from his sister about not getting homework done and to a long walk far . He got scared turned around toward friends house and they werent home. He was very scared of the commotion and hiding in a bush. Then he was spotted and the man wanted to bring him home but he thought he was a stranger and ran so fast and hid under a car for an hour then on his wasy home a another neighbor spotted him by a wall frightened, after he showed him that he was a fire fighter he went to him and just wanted to go home. Thank you Chino Police and neighbors. The community all came together. And Ana.. I so sorry for your lack of sleep :(. Thanks for your concern!!!

Scrooge,
It automatically put Chino Hills as the city. As you can see from the posts above, it also put Texas instead of Chino, Newport Beach instead of Chino. I live in Chino in the Preserve, have been here since 05. There is not a field to enter what city you are in on this form. But once again people need to watch their f'ing kids.

We do watch our kids thats what freaked us out. I got scared and called the police. We didn't ask for the helicopters that must be protocol. I understand about tax payers money . I thought of that too later, but when your scared to death that a child has been abducted those things don't run through your mind. It's a catch 22 for a parent .If something did happen and you don't call people would say "how come it took so long to notify authorities". I honestly never ever thought this would happen and yes our son is grounded for a long time for leaving without telling his 19 year old sister. I hope on your lifetime your kids or grandkids never leave without telling someone .I am soo sorry for the helicopters etc.. we do watch our kids thats why it was so scary when we could not find ours, It's a first for us not to be able to know where our son was and thats why panick came over me. Then we were getting reports from kids that a man was living in an abandoned house that was asking kids to come over you nsme it.. Again we are truley sorry for using your tax payers money. We ddin't ask for helicopters etc. we just reported him missing. I think every scared would.

Again I' very sorry for using tax payers money, If my kid was the type to always go out without knowing where he is then I wouldn't have notified police. This was a scary moment because I do always know where our children are and even have the cell phone with the tracker for them.I didn't ask for the helicopter it's probably protocol Ijust reported him missing because I was really frightened. I think the helicopter is what scared him so much that he was in a bush freezing. Not by any means saying that the helicopter is at fault cause for a serious situation i'ts very usefull. I think back in the day we would just sit and wait for along time before we would call the police but because of what we see on the news the scariest things run through my mind. I think it is damed if I did and damned if I did't. As too you telling us to watch our kids . Thats why I called the police because we always know where our kid our and this was so unsual. What kind of parent would I be if I had know clue were he was and just sat back ? He could have been hurt somewhere or hit by a car and know one knew who he was.. Thats why I hadto call the police. He could have been in an ambulance on the way to the hospital..
