LET ME TALK ABOUT ANOTHER BAR CLUB ON DIVISION STREET. THIS LITTLE DUMP WAS UNDER THE OLD DANCE SCHOOL AND THE SCHOOL IS STILL IN BUSINESS TODAY.
NEXT TO THE CITY PARKING STURCTURE ..
I THINK THE CLUB NAME WAS THE FORE AND AFTER.
NEVER THE LESS THEY HAD A FEW GOOD ACTS IN ITS TIME IF ANY ONE REMEMBERS VICKY SUE ROBINSON PLAYED THERE ONE NIGHT.. THIS WAS IN ADDITION TO ANDREA TRUE - MORE ,MORE ,MORE....
THE OWNER ALLOWED THESE BANDS TO USE THE ROOM FOR PRACTICE DURING OFF TIMES AND THEY REPAIED HIM WITH A FREE CONCERT ..SO THE STORY GOES..
SOME FELLOW NAMED RUSSEL , A BIG FAT GUY MANAGED THIS PLACE FOR HIS FATHER ..THE FATHER HAD A TIRE BUSINESS IN NEW ROCHELL SOME WHERE..
EVERY ONE GIVE THIS A BIG THINK .. THIS WASTHE PLACE TO GO WHEN YOU WERE SLUMMING IT..
BIKER WERE KNOWN TO SHOW UP ANY TIME H/A!!
THERE WERE A COUPLE OF RESIDENT BOOKIES WHO WANTED TO BUY THE RIGHTS , BUT RUSSEL REFUSED TO GIVE UP HIS LOOSING BAR...
THIS IS CIRCA 1976..
ALL VERY ANCIENT HISTORY OF THE DANCE PARADE OF DISCO TIMES PAST.

Won a dance tropy at second floor disco. I had my great times at the barbacue at PEACH TREES and what can you say about Marty and Lennys. Many a woman I dated and finally married one. We were there a few times on New years eve. The only wish I had was if all three of these discos had bigger dance floors. I had a habit of taking over the dance floor.

The name of that gay club was spelled "Zipperz." I remember it quite well. I used to drive there from Queens on many a weekend. I recall seeing Madonna's "Burning Up" video and "Weird" Al Yankovic's "I Lost on Jeopardy" video over there for the first time.

Some older fellow used to hang out there quite a bit. One night, he was telling me about a new radio station that I might like to listen to, Z-100.

One night, a stripper began his routine dressed as Santa Claus while the background music started out with "Eh Cumpari." Once something disco came on, he began to strip.

I'm from new Rochelle. There was a group of guys who hung out at the dance floor dancing the night away. I was one of them, Hugo, Derek, Donny, Michael D. And Billy Rivera was the DJ.

I remember the Second Floor, I worked at Bloomingdale's during the summer and a couple of guys I worked with used to take me there for some dancing. If I recall the dance floor was kind of small. There was a guy there by the name of Matty or Mattie, I don't know if he owned the place or managed it or whatever, he had an entourage of some sort.

My fave was Glen Island Casino, though. They had some great bands there.
