Highway 90A does not meet minimum highway safety standards since there are no guardrails on the section of highway where this accident occurred. The creek crossings are more than 20 feet deep below the highway and no guardrail. If a car tire leaves the pavement, the car will literally fall off of a cliff, as it did in this accident. Combine that with all the truck traffic between Houston and Eagle Ford, and 90A is a very dangerous road.
