I live on Yaphank Ave, and want to Thank all of the fire departments, and firefighters, who responded to this massive brush and mulch fire, at the Long Island compost. You did a great job, of getting it under control and contained. There was over 400 acres of dry woods, surrounding this compost site, I can't even say the fear, that we had, living on Yaphank Ave, and seeing those flames shooting into the sky at least 50 foot high. The fear of it spreading to the dry wooded area, of over 400 acres, next to the site, and wondering if we were going to be evacuated, and loose our homes, animals, and everything we own.
Thank you, for doing such a good job
