That's exactly right. These days, this behavior gets excused over and over again and swept under the rug under the guise of 'fun' or 'joking around' and it's horsesh*t already. All 3 were in their 20's and I'm sick of the age of accountability being pushed further and further back with today's youth. Grow the hell up already!

The parents also need a wake-up call. I have a hard time interacting with anyone under the age of 30 because I have lost my patience and want to b*tch slap them, lol. They all seem to be in this apathetic, it's-all-about-me kind of haze. Most of today's youth (not all)are Gadget-crazy, socially unaware, self-serving, self-centered and leave much to be desired as potentially successful adults.

If they can pick their empty heads up from texting long enough (ugh!), it's usually just to saunter lazily over to the computer or play inane video games. I'm not saying gadgets aren't cool, just that it seems parents have bought off their children, rather than trying to actually raise them and socialize them properly.

These 3 dummies should be tied to a chair in a townhall setting and have the owners of the vehicles they damaged preach to them for hours. No Food, no water. Barry Manilow or something equally as torturous playing in the background, lol. They should have their precious cell phones or computers or whatever other cr*p they own destroyed right in front of them or at very least, effed up a little.

Just sayin'.

These idiots should have each finger broken for a CRIME like this. Of course there are more serious crime offenders out there, but a slap on the wrist only creates the temptation to go further down that dark road of trying to get away with the next fix of stupidity.

I'll volunteer to the snapping of the digits. A nice ball pene hammer would work well.

I've never egged a car or vandalized personal property like these guys did. Just because there wasn't any damage does not make it right to act this foolishly and distrupt these victims daily lives that day. You don't have to "destroy" physical property to be a criminal.

Kaitlyn baby--Can I call you Kate? You are obviously outnumbered and in the minority here. Judging from your grammar, your continuous use of 'text-speak'(u, guyz, etc.) and the ever-present ellipsis (dot, dot, dot) you would seem to be a contemporary of the vandals.

It's OK--admirable even, to want to stand up for your friends; however, watch who you stand with, stand up for and especially who you call friends.

What these 3 fine, upstanding young gentlemen (ahem!) did was a tad more than a little shoe polish and your comparison to 'egging' someone's car says it all. That's something an adolescent would do, and hopefully grow out of at a certain point in normal social development. There is no excuse for this type of behavior from someone in their 20's.

It pains me to see every little fart in Mastic reported on by Newsday exhaustively. The fact of the matter is, there are some very fine, upstanding people in this town and in the surrounding areas, but you wouldn’t know it according to Newsday. I hate to see this area in the paper for something as stupid and destructive, as inane as vandalism. There’s bigger fish to fry. I’m hoping the parents of these 3 dopes aren’t just throwing the whole incident over their shoulder. The friggin’ FBI was involved, of all things! That’s pretty big and the reason for that should not be a mystery on anyone’s part.

Kaitlyn, good luck to you and your friends. Take a lesson from all of this and make the right choices.

I think this town needs to be cleaned up. there is way to much Graffiti in it. Not to forget about all the written messeges of hate.
