agree with the previous post, however, the crash occurred Jan. 2008: will be 2 years, not three.

supposedly the judge is "sympathetic" to his case, hence all the postponements. Wonder where his sympathies lie for the victim and his family??

OK, Gary pled guilty and the Sentencing date is May 24, 2010. 2 1/2 maybe three years for this guy who committed INVOLUNTARY manslaughter. He owned it. My questions to you is "Does nothing satsify you?" "That person was right you are bullies.

I worked with Gary a long time. And he did have a problem. He is a very sick, sadistic man who has hurt many people psychologically. He is mean and vindictive and cruel. Although this is a very shocking event, in some ways those who know this side of him probably saw it coming. My prayers for the victim's family.

Sounds as though you are the vindictive one. My prayers go to both families!

Any Crimminal suffolk County attorneys out there? What is the usual sentence with a "sympathetic" judge for a vcase like this. The range would be as little as? or as much as?

Why are the co workers who happen to work in the Mental Heath field so lacking in empathy for this man Gary. It was a situation that had terible consequences for all. However, the rage and anger that I have read directed at this man Gary, who you allege to work with, is so very hard core. Very difficult to comprehend why the critics of this guy chose to work with the mentally ill. If this is how you treat a co- worker, by remaining so unforgiving and vindictive, it is frightening to wonder how you treat the patients under your care??? I shudder to think!

Does anyone know what the current status of this case is? Has there actually been a guilty plea (bargain) deal, as the comments above state, for(DWI/Involuntary Manslaughter)? OR
Has another continuance been granted after almost 3 years without a disposition.?
The Latorre family, who now has been without a father for Vinny's son, and without a husband of the widow, Ms. Latorre, for almost 3 years, should be outraged at the Suffolk County Crimminal Justice system. As a mother/member of MADD, I am!

I don't understand your reply!. What do you mean when you state "special interest encourager of the selective enforcement of the law"?. The sentence makes no sense. It is unclear, it is disorganized, poorly worded, and irrelevent. Reminds me of one of former president Bush's speeches.!

It means MADD and organizations like it exist solely to bully politicians and give those same politicians the guts to extort their own constituents. It isn't fair to be tough on one crime and one crime only, simply because those perpetrators are rich enough to own and operate a motor vehicle. (This is especially true in NY state, who has no less than a billion fees tacked on to everything.)

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
