I love animals just like most of us do, have some of my own. Right now though the way the economy is people have to come first and not the animals, it makes me angry that you want all this money for an animal shelter when there are people here in this county going hungry especially children and people cant pay their bills because they are out of jobs. CHILDREN COME FIRST IN MY MIND, when the economy gets better and people can get back to work then I can support an animal shelter but I cant right now.

Just reading an article here about a couple and their kids were homeless because he lost his job and she became very sick and you want us to raise money for an animal shelter, what about raising money for the homeless people out here in ROCKINGHAM COUNTY. Use your brains, people come first and some people cant help the situations they are in especially when they lose jobs, my husband is disabled and I have been laid off for about a year now, I recently found a job but my managers are very abusive but I put up with it because I have to have a job because we almost lost our home and that is tough. PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE BEFORE YOU DO ANIMALS!!!!!!!

I am so glad that there are people that concern about animals, because the poor animals can't care of themselves. Great job!

Comment to concenred citizen- how about start your own fund and raise money for homeless people in the county, all it takes is concern citizen like yourself and few more citizens to do something to raise money for homeless. People will come and support.

I have tried and the first place you go for support are the churches and none of the churches in this area are willing to help and open their doors, they have been approached by several people that I know of and everyone has gotten turned away. I think it is going to take someone higher up in the social world around here than just a normal citizen like me. I am new to this county and dont know very many people. I was laid off for almost a year from 2 jobs because both places closed down, just got another job about 3 months ago and I work the 3rd shift and sleep most of the day and I am still trying to help the homeless but most people that I get in touch with turn me away and dont understand why. Dont get me wrong I love animals and I have one little dog now and have always had animals growing up and my children and grandchildren have some now but I just think its wrong to raise this much money for an animal shelter right now in this county, should be raising money for the homeless. I would prefer not seeing a child go hungry and homeless that an animal right now.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Gemini

You are in a dissatisfied mood, and are just spoiling for a fight today. However, be warned that this could backfire on you unpleasantly, especially if you take on superiors at work. At home, everyone is used to your behaviour and they generally make allowances for you, as they will today.
