This is far from a new concept. My stepdad had 1 back in the early '90's. They are awesome to ride.

White trash or not, Ken's a great guy. I first met him at a rally before he built the c-cab body on his trike. Laid back, down to earth, do anything to help someone else. If that's white trash, count me in.

Sure beats derogatory remarks about someone you don't know.

And for the record, no, I don't have a trike. I might build one some day, but my 3rd wheel is a sidecar, wheelchair accessible.

Well with comments like the following, it's easy to draw conclusions.

"His trike is adorned with beer cases duct taped to the frame, which he jokes could one day lead to an endorsement deal like NASCAR.

"Case of beer every year or every month, something like that would be alright," said Ken Hardison."

I firmly believe you can fix or build just about anything with a little help from Duct Tape!

I personally was not meaning it rude. Thats just how they portrayed themselves.

Why, because he mentions beer? I guess the majority of college students must be white trash too with that line of thinking. What about all the lawyers out there, I've heard that profession has the highest percentage of alcoholics. White trash there too?

I know several guys that have trikes, most build their own. It's more about the enjoyment of building something yourself, and having a ride that's different than the average person.

Or is it his appearance that people judge? If so, I'd be right there with him on that. Am I white trash? I don't smoke, drink, or use drugs. I work for a living, and own my home. I do have a few too many vehicles, does that qualify?

Some of you read this story and fail to see what it's really about, a few people having fun doing what they enjoy, and doing their part to beat the high fuel costs by driving economical vehicles.

They're not trashy, just a bit lame compared to the pleasure of owning a "real" bike

Hey the guy is very inventive. At least he wasn't in Brookside doing a hit n run and making a mess in his pants.

If this guy is such trash how come you didn't think of this kind of bike or anything else of value?

I think the trike is awesome and if I had one I would certainly be riding it. I know the trike has been around for awhile like Big-Steve said but this guy took the time and designed his own trike.

I don't think Nanibones comment was meant to trigger that kind of reaction. Not necessary to be so defensive -Out on 3 wheels-. Lighten up.

I'm just saying, what's the point in making a contraption like this? Why not just ride a bike, or drive an economy car. I just don't get the whole purpose, and plastering the side of it with beer cases, hmm.

I am very well what the story is about, I comprehended that. Trikes have been around for quiet sometime not just in the white trash world. And I am assuming you've been called white trash given the fact your poop stained underroos got all bent out of shape. And it wasn't just because of the beer.
