Just wait and see. Millions of dollars are on the way to Ukraine from the USA ,Canada, Germany and world wide The five million strong, Ukrainian Diaspora is collecting money too. Every Ukrainian church is asking for a 100 dollar donation from each parishioner for a " Free Yulia Fund "and MPs MLAs, US Senators and Congressman, The president and Vice President are being petitioned by human rights organizations. Yanukovch will loose his majority in the UKR RADA. George Soros, has just said that Yanukovich is a communist holdover and must be thrown out of power. All of Europe wants him out. The Soros Centre for Democracy has just allocated 200 million dollars US, to support the anti -Yanukovych democratic forces in Ukraine.

Yes, on Ukr Independence issuepreviously..... and if Poland had supported Free Democratic Ukraine's bid for independence from Russia after 1918 at the Versaille Peacy Treaty meeting after WW 1 instead of cutting up Ukraine between Poland and Soviet Russia, then millions of Poles would have not died 1940 - 1945 and Poland would not have suffered 50 yeras of defacto russian soviet rule. Call that Karma or Polish Supidity ... Your Choice.Ukraine needed one more vote at Versailles in 1918 to be a free country .... but Senile Pilsudski and the Polish government would not agree. But for that Ukraine would have been democratic and independent like Poland in 1918, but the traditional hatred and antipathy of Poles to Ukrainians ruled the day.... so Poland paid the Karmic price for its stupidity and suffered the Russian Soviets for 50 years, and lost Lvov and One third of ethnic ukrainian Polish lands in 1945, in any event. And so it goes with Polish Pride and Stupidity

I do hope the people of Ukraine (opposition) have better luck than the people (opposition) of Russia. In the last election Putin won 60% of 300 million voters. Not bad for a country of 150 million residents (children included).

Yanuk only has 17% support in Ukraine now, so he will probably get crushed at the elections.

Your knowledge of the history is very poor.
Return to 1920 and ask yourself, why "ukrs" did not fight for their independent Ukraine.

Zzz-- your moniker seems to fit quite well. You seem to be asleep and simply repeating what you have been told to say. Wake up and look at reality.

The opposition banding together is the best way to get rid of the dictator wanabee. We will see if the Ukrainian people are willing to take a chance on change. I hope so. They are great people and deserve much better than they have now.

Suggested policy to improve the Topix Forum: When it comes to Pissy, The Fish-faced Finn, Comrade Canutty, or the Crapolasaurus (the Four Topix Stooges)-- don't read, don't rate, don't respond. They do not have anything of substance to say anyway. It will drive them crazy to think that their "Pearls of Wisdom" are falling in empty space (if they even have the brains to realize that nobody gives a big rat’s behind what they say).

Finland was a part of Sweden from the 12th to 19th century, and from 1809–1917 was an autonomous Grand Duchy within the Russian Empire. The Finnish Declaration of Independence from Russia in 1917 was followed by a civil war in which the red side was defeated with German support.Finns finally scraped together a rag tag country, 1000 years after Kiev was founded, in 1917. So yes,Finns are quite SLOW at everything. It is true though, that Finns like fast cars and slow woman, but getting a Finnish drivers license takes five years of study for the average Finn,so most Finns rely on public transport skis carts and bicycles to get around.
