Nobody bitched about "Kent State", during the Blizzard of '78!

The Blizzard of 1978, thirty-six years ago:
It was a few days of glory for the Ohio National Guard, of which I was a member. Back during that blizzard of 1978, nobody mentioned or was bitchin' about "Kent State". Inside the Piqua/Charlie Battery armory, few people whined, because we all ended up having a pretty good time. People had cots for beds and the Red Cross made sure we were all fed. People were in luck, when they called and saw those green jeeps, bulldozers and big Nasty Guard trucks. It was not as bad as the Chosin Reservoir, the Bulge or Stalingrad.

Back in 1978, people liked seeing us in those old green Army uniforms, when we came to rescue them and take them someplace warm, and to get something to eat, changing their minds until they thought we were kinds of neat.
