Unemployment rate dropped to 6.7 percent only because adults continued to leave the workforce!

In reality, the improved job picture is a result of a combination of factors. Yes, the overall ecomony is improving and this has begun to spur job growth. At the same time, the long term unemployed (many of whom lack adequate career skillsets) have completely fallen out of the employment radar, have given up hope for finding a job. Many of these people have moved on to "plan B", which can take any number of forms. A lot of people seem to like to live off other people's money. Others become theives. What's really fashionable is faking some sort of disability, getting onto SSD or SSI, then finding an easy part time job that doesn't pay a whole lot so as to not mess with social security income.
