And you're too stupid to realize that voting for your own interests instead of our country is how we ended up in this mess.

You really should read up a little more. considering you started with George Mason being a symbol for all you stand for as a "Constitutionalist". He's the slave owner who refused to sign the Constitution.(insert silly spring noise sound effect here-
B-o-o-I-I-I-I-I-n-g)
I'm sure he pictured 16 year old urban youth owning AK-47s with 50 round clips when he made this statement though...right?
Also, none of the people you named here mention their vision of our country turning into an evil Socialist tyranny.
You know, like how you and Timothy McVeigh do.
You really believe that our founders had no vision of advanced weaponry in the future? They thought that muskets and single action revolvers would be the apex of our creation?

And here we once again have that worn out liberal "They owned slaves" routine that you think somehow discounts or eliminates any credibility our founders had.

They also didn't know we were going to have the "A" bomb or jet planes. So what does that have to do with the price of milk?

I have a lot of younger friends that would love to have a "defined benefit" retirement plan, instead of their "defined contribution" plans (where they get to invest the money, and hope for the best.) Your facts are wrong. Congress and their staff are all included in Obamacare (thanks to the Grassley amendment.) And all federal workers hired since 1984 are covered by (and contribute to) Social Security.

Informative. I ck printed news, TV/radio news & obviously internet news but some how missed that.
Now they need the same pension plans.
I still am the biggest cynic about trusting them to run a bath.
What about the Brent Spence bridge? Now it is supposedly an 'earmark' to use tax dollars to build a new bridge! What the bleep are highway & fuel taxes for? Building rabbit cages? Something is messed up. The bridge used to have a break down lane but they converted it for traffic in the 70's.

Not too much different here. Our main artery going into downtown Cleveland is a bridge that is so bad trucks have to detour to get into or across town. The bridge isn't strong enough to safely allow trucks to cross and the detour sucks in rush hour traffic.

We didn't get much help from the feds and it's a good thing we have Kasich as a Governor who managed to find a way to fund the new bridge project.

. They have spent the highway and fuel taxes on their wants- maybe even embezzled ! This is what the political welfare system we have evolved to consist of! The only fools are the voters and taxpayers who continue to accept this!

And yet everyone's life is exactly the same, for the last 20 or so years, no matter how many time Sarah Palin told your corporate fetch boy @ss that the sky is falling. The only real difference is we were making about 10K more a year under Bill Clinton. Eat those facts you Tea Bagger emailed newsletter.

Do tell, what did Bill Clinton to that contributed to us making 10K more per year?

You don't, huh? Then I guess you now support the Iraq war.

if you were not implying that our founders were invalid, why did you bring up slavery? What did slavery have to do with their stance on firearms? I didn't bring up slavery.

Of course It would seem that our founders could not have imagined precisely what changes would come about in their futures, but they certainly KNEW that things would NOT remain the same since they were clearly aware that at one time there was no steam engines, firearms, cannons etc. And B4 that there were catapaults, simple bows, cross bows, steel, bronze, stone tipped arrows & spears, B4 that clubs & sling shots etc.
So I agree with you.
They had no crystal ball just as we don't. But we already envision lasers, rail guns, pulse weapons & more.
that is an angle that the narrow sighted don't see or they refuse to see.
As far as your slavery question, that's just Canton when he can't stay on subject.

It's what liberals do: try to invalidate proof.

If our founders feared (as Canton puts it) 16y year olds with assault rifles, they would have limited our ability to protect ourselves by listing the primitive weapons they had at the time. Of course they knew that our weaponry would advance, but they didn't want those advancements available to rogue governments or criminals and not the law abiding citizen.

If we look at our mass murders in this country including the latest Naval episode, the one common element is that most took place in gun-free zones. So far under this administration, we've had two mass attacks on military instillations. How many attacks on military instillations did we have before Clinton disarmed military personnel in these places?

Liberals just don't get it. Whether we look at isolated instances where guns are not allowed or entire states or cities that just about prohibit guns such as NYC and Chicago, we find that gun-free zones are a problem. So what's the liberal solution? Make everyplace a gun-free zone. That's just how liberals think.

My point is why are you referencing quotes from centuries ago to address a modern issue. To suggest that any of the founder's of this country could foresee the direction our country has taken would be to imply they had the ability to see the future. How's come I only have to take quotes from as far back as the 90's to find a lunatic that believes exactly what you believe, and you have to dig up people like Noah Webster to justify your point? I stated that you guys follow the EXACT same views as child murderer and terrorist Timothy McVeigh.

Here's a quote from Tea Party darling, Ann Coulter.

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building."

Go ahead and post the quote where I stated that our founder's feared 16 year olds with assault rifles. Unless of course this is just another sneaky, scumbag rightwinger lie...again. Go ahead and post that link where I stated that our founder's were afraid of 16 year olds with AK47's. Funny how all I have to do is to post documented facts. All you guys can come up with is to lie about something anyone could see is false. The days of you guys being able to lie and never be held accountable have been shut down by the easily accessed information of the internet.(Also see the end of the GOP)

Really, my original point, before you guys tried to muddy the waters, and who could blame you, is that you Tea Party folks sound EXACTLY like Timothy McVeigh...

"Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight.[...] Is a Civil War Imminent? Do we have to shed blood to reform the current system? I hope it doesn't come to that. But it might" -Timothy McVeigh

Sound like the Tea Party?

"The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control" -Timothy McVeigh

Here's one for all you "Constitutionalists" ...

"Those who betray or subvert the Constitution are guilty of sedition and/or treason, are domestic enemies and should and will be punished accordingly.
It also stands to reason that anyone who sympathizes with the enemy or gives aid or comfort to said enemy is likewise guilty. I have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic and I will." -Timothy McVeigh-racist, Libertarian, rightwing terrorist

Well, he made our country one where you could walk into the boss's office and demand a raise and actually get one. Really, I'm going with the fact that I was making 10K more a year when Clinton was in office. Perhaps you could explain why that is.

Huh? What are you reading exactly because the last 3 posts you have made, you keep trying to put words in my mouth I never said. Guess when you are desperate as you guys are, you'll twist and connive anything to keep afloat. Nice try little Timmy McTea Bagger. Way too smart for your BS.
