Don't get me wrong. I've told my story about our crappy medical care. Granted, we employees do not contribute to it, but it's still crappy care. As I told my employer, I would much rather make less per hour and have better coverage than to make more in wages and be stuck with what we have. It's unfortunate, but my coworkers would rather have higher wages.
This is not to ignore that I am a person with preexisting conditions. I've been an insulin dependent diabetic for nearly 30 years and the usual side effects of that disease of high blood pressure and cholesterol problems, all being treated via medication.
So I get sick and tired of hearing about those with preexisting conditions. I have them. I've never been uninsured.
Discussing my financial problems with the Cleveland Clinic, I found that if I dropped my insurance coverage at work, the Clinic would treat me for free. Everything from a doctors visit to major surgery. The problem with this route? Commie Care. Commie Care F'd up any possibility of me getting coverage. Worse than that, because Commie Care takes from me and gives to the hardware store clerk, it's likely our crappy coverage will only get crappier.
Thanks Obama. You Communist, Socialist piece of crap!
The only reason you still have insurance is because of being on a group plan. If you had tried to get coverage before the ACA by yourself you would be singing a different tune. We'd be hearing a tantrum over the price of policies that were just about as useful as a roll of toilet paper. That is if you could have found coverage.
Now be a true American and refuse Social Security and Medicare when you retire. No, I didn't think so. Oh but you paid into it and earned that. So has millions of other people who could not afford or even get covered by the true death panels.
And looking at that last sentence:
Red coats, confederates, fascists, KKK, segregationists, communists, Al Qaeda, and the tea party. The only thing them apart from people like you , are commas.

and the excuses continue.

Insurance is a product. You can purchase good or basic. that is consumers choice.

You have car insurance, but when it needs gas or tires you must buy them.

FYI...you must pay for prescriptions and Dr. visits just like gas and tires even if insured.

woodie pills fall under beer and wine expenditures. You buy them and other birth control with your money, or pay extra to insurance so it is covered.

Those online games have servers that crash several times a year. Then a bunch of fan boys cry about the end of the world, followed by them releasing a patch to fix the problem. But then, in your crazy World of Tea Baggers , Obama is like Caesar and commies are hiding around every corner. Too bad it's only in your fringe group, kookie little world. Now back to the Republicans openly calling Tea Baggers out for being the loons and obstructionists your candidates really are. Let's go ahead and subtract the entire GOP from your "silent majority".

Blah blah blah...yet if you closed your eyes and told yourself that Clinton or Reagan was in office right now, absolutely nothing would change in your entire life. Just like it hasn't changed under Obama. Of course we were all making more money under Clinton back then but little GW made sure that got shut down. Right about the time the CEOs started giving themselves big old bonuses. Now since you're not one of those folks that got a bonus, and you are certainly not in the top 1%, go ahead and explain to us why you always side with the boss man over the working man. Surely it's not because to you are so damn stupid that you don't know your @ss from a hole in the ground. Explain why you love yourself some corporate agenda while the "job creators" sell our country out and ship jobs overseas, for nothing more than the greed of wanting to pay their employees 3rd world wages.

I've explained this to you about a dozen times, so let's try this the 13th time:

Jobs move overseas because American consumers such as yourself demand cheap low-quality products. We consumers refuse to support livable and good wages for other Americans. WE want those cheap labor products. Don't blame corporate America. They are only giving you what you want. Blame the shoppers at Wal-Mart or K-Mart.

I believe in sticking up for what's right in this country and how much somebody else makes is none of your business nor should it bet the interest of anybody else. Money is property and taking somebody's property against their will is theft pure and simple. I'm against theft just as much as that man in the sky.

I just explained to you how my life has changed under the Dictator. Without him, our company may still be providing us with halfway decent healthcare. This along with all the extra expenses for all this pollution crap that we don't need on our trucks is no help either.

This is typical liberal thinking. It's why we call you people the uninformed voters.

So if I tried to get a plan on my own I wouldn't get one? Okay, so I don't get a plan. But because of Commie Care, 5 million other people don't have their plan anymore. So what was accomplished here? And partly because of Commie Care, I don't have much of a plan at work either.

This is why government needs to stick to government and stay out of the private market--especially a liberal government. We have 15% of our people uninsured--many who don't even want insurance, so the grand liberal idea is ruin it for the other 85% of our people. Sorry, but that's no way to solve a problem. You don't solve one problem and put ten more in it's place unless you are a liberal politician.

with all due respect intended....you can purchase all the insurance you want.
employers don't have to be your only option for insurance.
Remember you are insuring you and not a car. I think I would worry more about me than my car when insuring. That is just me though.
Purchase a suplemental plan to strengthen your current policy. My suggestion to you.
Merry Christmas
Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried that. Health insurance doesn't sell any kind of supplemental plan. Private insurance is not like Medicare. I tried my current insurance company and several others. They all said there is no such thing.

Individual policies are way over my ability to purchase. Not only do individual plans cost more than group plans, but because of my medical condition and age it's just about unaffordable. My employer said he would give me the money he spends on my plan, but it would have to go as increased hourly pay because he has to include unemployment and workman's compensation insurance costs. He said he can't just cut me a check at the end of each month for healthcare. It doesn't work like that with the IRS.

So if the cost of my premium to my employer is $450.00 per month, After everything is deducted, I may only see about $180.00 additional dollars if that. Remember that when wages go up, so do the employers contribution towards my Medicare and Social Security.

My insurance doesn't cover any prescriptions. But DumBama's priorities are birth control, then life saving medication like insulin, blood pressure pills and cholesterol. Why would he have forced coverage for birth control and not necessary medications? Because it's all about politics for him and it always was. If you ever wake up, you will realize that.
