Novel portrays disabled teen as 'just a typical person'
As a high school student, Sara Pyszka worked hard to be like other students even though her physical disabilities required her to use a wheelchair and a computerized voice mechanism.

No, disabled and retarded people, thank God, are not typical people; nor can, or should, they be anything that they want to be, depending on what it is, of course. Reality sucks and it is just tough luck. I do not want to be working with blind people inside an airplane cockpit or a laboratory, because they cannot and should not be pilots or doctors or veterinarians or fork-truck drivers or truck drivers or machine operators.
