Air Scouting started as a BSA program in 1941. In 1944 and 45, the Cooperative Cub of Xenia sponsored Air Scout Squadron 4 for a couple of years.
The program was set up to give young men a taste of aviation at the beginning of WW II and lasted for the next 20 years in the various communities within Tecumseh Council.
Next spring, Tecumseh Council will help the BSA celebrates its centennial with a big Camporee and Showando, which will include a retrospect of Air Scouting. We are looking for any Xenia men who were Air Scouts or leaders during 1944 -45 and are willing to share memories and memorabilia from that experience.
