These are the types of things that occur when folks around here lose sight of their common sense and instead become entranced with Malone-mania - a phenomenom that was swept into vogue by 16, 17 and 18 year old students. To put this in perspective, last November's BOE election was no different than any Springboro High School class president election. 100% of the time, any given student wins "class president" status for no reason other than he/she is "insanely popular" amonst the majority of their peers. What honor does Springboro board member Ron Malone share with each and every class president that's ever attended Springboro Schools?. Regardless of his obvious lack of vision and ineffectiveness, Malone is just as "insanely popular" as any Boro class president ever was.<quoted text>
Have our professional union classroom teachers forgotten so soon the "values in the beliefs" being taught to our Springboro students--one of whom testified in the bully pulpit in the boardroom that God (Our Respective Higher Power) has no place in this country?
Thanks in part to efforts of M. Wray before the election last August, recent Boro alumni (as well as Boro seniors) were a driving force in securing the Malone ticket extra votes they otherwise wouldn't have gained. Now what do we have as a board majority? Two former educators who would be doing this community a higher level of service if they were playing golf every day.... and a successful businessman in conservative's clothing.
And then of course, there's the new Springboro Parent Mentor program. Remember it's only been 4 months since MSA were sworn in. In terms of their efforts to promote the stagnating Common Core curriculum and Obama's liberal agendas as well as to continue to indoctrinate our students with union-friendly dogma, Malone Stuckey Anderson Maney et. al. have only just begun to wreak a path of destruction.
Knowing that a Boro student is becoming brainwashed and indoctrinated in this way is akin to witnessing hairline cracks in Hoover Dam. It could be OK for this community for a while. But serious damage has already been done. There's no turning back now.
All anyone can hope for for our Boro kids being used and abused like this is that over the next 10-15 years, they'll find religion as to how to manage their lives, without their lives being controlled and overmanaged by government.
