I too, am a firm believer in Darvin's Theory of Evolution. For many decades many many times over. evolutionary trends of our species as well as many others have been proven in fossil records found in rocks all over the planet. Each and every day, evolution is proven under high power microscopes, even in our childrens science classrooms<quoted text>
No debate needed for the logical:
Evolution = science (can be proven or disproven)
Creation = faith-based (cannot be proven or disproven)
The fact that evolution CAN be proven wrong (or right) is EXACTLY what makes it SCIENCE.
Creation (complex living animals from nothing) cannot be proven (or disproven) therefore it is NOT SCIENCE.
But, to me, the debate goes way beyond evolution vs. creationism. Hopefully tonight, Ham and Nye will spend time speaking toward the bigger debate, which is...
What is the origin of the universe?
If all matter in the entire universe wasn't "created" at some point in the past, how else can our universe's past origin be explained?
