Hey, UR an extremist nutcase who can't even handle the truth about the weaknesses of our former under-performing SHS principal, Ron Malone!

It's Ron Malone, who has lost his identity as insanely popular high school principal, who needs to find himself a NEW GIG (New Job Attitude) for 2014, and either find the backbone to Stand Up for Kids or else Put on his Boots Made for Walking..... Right out of our Board Room.

Alls Ima Saying, even our former board member, Don Miller, who was one of Malone's biggest supporters during Malone's Vote for Revenge Protest Against Board Authority in March 2012, did NOT endorse Ron Malone's candidacy for BOE member. Perhaps you remember that Don Miller was the one remaining board member who was supportive of Malone's status quo agenda, all the way back to the year 2005, when Mr. Miller was first elected as board representative.

Mr. Miller was supportive in the board room when Malone and Holtrey first brought the recommendation to RAISE the high play to pay fees, punishing parents of students who play sports for NOT "getting out there and passing those unnecessary NEW MONEY levies for Increased wages and compensation/benefits packages for school union employees (while recommending that we just throw our kids off the bus, and endanger their physical safety by forcing them to walk along dangerous rural roadways throughout the Township countryside). After all, Township Residents were blamed and shamed by the pro-levy lovers for "failing the levy" so why shouldn't Township kids be "punished" for their parents' "sins" of levy failure?

Don Miller was supportive of Malone's status quo agenda during the Boosters protest against board authority in July 2012, when a local pastor judged it to be a "sin" if the board did not hire Holtrey for a job that was open for applications, without Holtrey even applying for the open job! Don Miller was supportive of Malone's program of studies, pushing job security for union teachers, instead of highest academic achievement potential for Students first best interest. Don Miller was supportive of Malone's status quo protest AGAINST our Chidlren's First May 2012 school budget five year forecast.

But Don Miller was not supportive of Ron Malone's bid for elected office as board representative. Ever wonder why? Could it be that Don Miller knew Ron Malone's weaknesses? Or perhaps it was because Don Miller had recognized the strengths of board members David Petroni and Jim Rigano and agreed with their endorsement of Charles Anderson as Number One most likely to succeed as board representative, putting our Students First, while Maintaining Fiscal Integrity?

Put on your listening ears, all you "dumbos" out there who are in favor of Malone dumbing down our Progress made in the past two years within the framework of Children First Budget. The 5000 or so votes that gave Malone Number two most popular in the November popularity contest, does NOT represent the MAJORITY of community taxpayers!
Get Real, the majority of taxpayers did not even care enough about our insanely popular has been a principal, Ron Malone, to even show up at the polls.

There is NO MSA majority;
and No MSA one voice one vote authority! Just the Survival of the Species....... and
IF Malone resists changing his status quo leadership style, refusing to embrace the PROGRESS of our school districts current VISION of REFORM, then Malone will be
forced out of the board room "GIG" to go someplace else to UTILIZE his "insanely popular"
with the SEA under-forming skills.

That means he can never die!
Awesome!
Hey "UR ignorant illiterate" declaring that old failed practices of the past, doing local government business the old status quo way,( ensuring job security for increasing numbers of Union employees, while OVERTAXING our taxpaying homeowners) is AWESOME, and can never die...... listen up! Never Say Never!

All living things that stop CHANGING and GROWING start fading away; and then the next step is to die! That's what our old outdated practices of forced unionization politics is doing to our local communities, counties, and cities throughout our State of Ohio. Clinging to old status quo collective bargaining rights of 1983, out of their FEAR of the progress of fresh ideas and much needed reforms, our government officials resort to emotional blackmail and "cutting services" to the people, instead of problem solving the tough choices of "cutting Government spending."

Learning to accept and adapt to change is the SKILL of a lifetime. Because there is never a shortage of changes for us to face, we should have plenty of opportunities to practice our adaptive skills--and to get very good at them! But, alas! The True History of SHS principal Ron Malone proves that in his "old age" he was most unsuccessful in dealing with the changes demanded of him as a professional educator!.... and the more you know about Ron Malone; the more pathetic Ron Malone will "grow" as a FIT Board of Education
representative!

Unfortunately, we have elected local government officials (including Ron Malone, Ed Wade, John Augenbaugh) who refuse to face needed changes in their leadership skills, which no longer FIT our 21st century life style needs. So it's not a matter of their "immortality,"
but it's just a matter of TIME before the survival of the species renders their "services" obsolete. The clock is ticking......

LOL
..... and from the results of the November 5 election, neither has anyone else read the
the True History of the failed leadership practices of Ron Malone. Mr. Malone has a lot of explaining to do; now that he's not in high school anymore!

The True History of a Man….through official documents written by third party observers. It is not as golden as you have been led to believe.
As the man who led our school district as high school principal for 13 years, Ron Malone held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community. How he chose to use those gifts is revealed in the public records reports of his professional peer reviewers, his superiors, and his own public pronouncements.
The recent note from Mr. Tom Isaacs of the Warren County Educational Service Center in defense of Mr. Malone is noteworthy in that it did not refute any of their prior conclusions or recommendations.
DECEMBER 2010 - Warren County Educational Service Center audit
report on SHS program of studies RECOMMENDATIONS page 13:

"Increase the number of students taking the HIGH SCHOOLS THAT WORKS recommended curriculum/Ohio Core each year by at least 25 percent.
"Increase the percentage of students taking college preparatory courses. Eliminate any course offerings below the college preparatory level."

JANUARY 2012 - Superintendent Gene Lolli's annual performance evaluation of Mr. Malone notes:

"Mr. Malone does demonstrate the ability to affect change, but sometimes very reluctantly. It sometimes takes numerous requests by Superintendent before changes are implemented."

Mr. Malone needs to improve on getting request goals to the Superintendent in a timely fashion. Examples include: Requested schedule of events for delayed start at the beginning of the year, at semester, and last week and have not yet received. Also requested times and dates of all staff meetings and quarterly updates on the High Schools That Work per 2011-2012 job targets.

JANUARY 2013 - Warren County Educational Service Center audit report on SHS program of studies page 10:
"SHS still offers GENERAL LEVEL CLASSES (Algebra 1A and 1B, physical science, US History, and World History). Thus, not all students experience a college preparatory curriculum. Documents provided to the Technical Assistance Visiting (TAV Team indicate that contrary to the High Schools That Works philosophy, SHS believes that offering LOW-LEVEL COURSES is in the best interest of students. This belief, however, WAS NOT SUBSTANTIATED by research or data."
2013 US NEWS ranking of high schools in Ohio ranks King’s #23, Mason #35, Bellbrook#37, Brookville #41, Lebanon #48, Centerville #49, Waynesville #53, Monroe #90 and , and finally Springboro #97.
Given our district’s stated 40% gifted population, the fact that only 20% are on track to take A/P classes in high school, our district is severely underperforming compared to those districts around us in my opinion.
*Number of Dual College Credit Classes available when Mr. Malone
retired - 0
*Number of Dual College Credit classes added after Mr. Malone retired
June 30, 2013 - 6
Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources: 34 out of 77 elective classes at the high school had less than 20 students, more than a few had multiple classes.
IE: Children’s Literature, 2 classes – 27 total students, Entrepreneurship, 2 classes – 20 total students, etc.
My conclusion is that Mr. Malone ran this high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. This tactic robbed resources from areas of greater need in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.

There is no blame laid at the hands of our "last BOE or superintendent."

For the Record, there were no accusations of being "terrible."

On the contrary, records prove that our "last BOE and superintendent" went the extra mile for Mr. Malone, in efforts to prompt him to "implement needed changes" to raise the bar for our students and teachers. The way I see it, Mr. Malone's professional peers made every effort to protect Mr. Malone's reputation, as a man who held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community.

Only Mr. Malone is to blame for his lack of respect for authority of his own good friend/boss, Mr. Lolli, and our BOE elected officials, Dr. Kohls, Mr. Petroni and Mr. Rigano. Only Mr. Malone is to blame for his Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources; running our high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. HAPPY NEW YEAR wrote:
Springboro Families, Taxpaying Homeowners, and all Citizens for Responsible Spending have much success to celebrate as we reflect on the progress that Educate Springboro has made in the past two years, maintaining fiscal integrity in our local school government, while being honest about what is needed through 2017! On November 5, 2013, voters sent a strong message of support for Children First Budget and Reduced Renewal Levy and Educate Springboro’s endorsement of community member business man, Charles Anderson, as the Number One BOE elected official, who has the greatest Professional ability to be open to advice and information from our current board members, David Petroni and Jim Rigano, whose Vision of Reform, is leading our students’ 21st century education opportunities in the direction of highest academic achievement potential; and away from status quo business as usual failed practices of the past. Welcome Aboard, Mr.Anderson!
Springboro Parents are expecting a lot in 2014 from board members Mr. Anderson, Mr. Petroni, and Mr. Rigano, as they work together toward the difficult challenge of prompting our two, reluctant-to-change, retired educators, Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey, to get on board with our school district’s new business/educational philosophy of Children First Budget. It’s for our children, our community and toward a better future for our schools! How can any ONE
of our FIVE board representatives NOT get on board with this winning agenda, putting Students FIRST, while maintaining fiscal integrity, AND being honest with taxpayers?
Special Thanks and Great Appreciation are due our departing board member, Kelly Kohls, whose four years of awesome service to our schools and community, as BOE elected official, has helped lead our school district to this unprecedented position of “celebration” of Increased Pay for every School Employee, and Reduced taxes for every Springboro family, with Renewal levy saving Taxpayers $6.5 million over the five year life of the levy, while continuing to generate surplus! Hooray for Us!
People in this community should stay alert for opportunities to remind Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey that we got a good thing going here in our Springboro schools and community, a Win-Win agreement with both the School Community of Employees and the Community of Taxpayers benefitting from our board’s Vision of Reform and applauding the progress made in the last two years by our school board and school district leaders, including Mr. Petroni and Mr. Rigano! Thank You, Mr. Petroni and Mr. Rigano! Please know of our continued support of our school district’s new philosophy of Children First Budget Reform/Levy Alternatives, as you join the new board members in facing the difficult challenges of the education business that lie ahead in 2014!
People in this community should stay alert for opportunities in the board room to remind Our retired educators, Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey, that no matter how many times they “vow to the SEA to put things back the way they were in the year 2000…..” you will NEVER convince Springboro taxpayers, who are moving PAST old outdated status quo, in the direction of Educate Springboro’s VISION of REFORM for our school children and community!
Taxpayers will settle for nothing less than FIVE board members who Stand Up for Our Students FIRST!….. and that is a much better way than the SEA way of pressuring Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey to Stand AGAINST Students First, in favor of putting emphasis on the financial gain of adult union employees first!
Worth Repeating! The Future of Our Schools and Community depend upon it!

Hey Sarah Jobe and Stephanie Bendaman, why do you answer community questions directed to Ron MaLONE? Why doesn't he answer himself? Are you his puppet master? Do you have your hand up his A__?

We see who is in control of Springboro. Springboro is controlled by the Teachers and Teamsters unions.
Springboro why do you keep electing union masters that took down this great country? Why do you vote in people/socialists that got Obama elected? This teachers union is as liberal as it gets, the teachers that pay for it are creating socialist soldiers = your children.

The biggest union man is our Mayor, his campaign funds come from outside unions-true, look it up at the board of elections. He then gives money to his picks = Jason Gabbard and Ed Wade-Township Trustees. We will be watching Steve Muterspaw to see who has his votes.

Ron Malone will go down as the Principal that kept Springboro students down= see the High School TAV reorts for the last 10 years and see the WarrenCounty ESC audit in 2012, also see the US News and World reports that show us lower ranked than almost all other Warren County schools. OMG these poor stuents were getting held back all due to a derelict, sleepy, old worn out Prncipal hat has been led around and told what todo by his unionb wife and daughter. It appears hiswife an unio told him tomanipulate th voters, get more money and hurt the kids until you get it. He was told to protect union jobs at all costs, take a nap and let the builiding manage itself. He wa very good at that.

It is unbelieveable that Ron Malone NEVER offered our students a dual credit course, did not allow many students to take AP courses and had his staff discourage PSEO. As a result Springboro fell far behind schools such as the Warren County Career Center. Springboros Average ACT scores were not significantly above the State average even though Springboro reportedly has 40% gifted, one of the wealthiest communities and "best teachers".

Why, you might ask? Because if Malone promoted these things his ratings on AP scores may decline, his staff may have had to be reduced (don't need them) and he may have to change his comfortable lazy ways. All in all, his hppiness was more important than the success of Springboro students. Really, not until 2010 did the plush High School environment get shaken up. Finally, the one in four Springboro graduates that didnot meet the minimum requirements to get into an Ohio college got attention, attention to our relatively low ACT scores got attention, low participation in PSEO, Low particiaption in AP courses and NO dual credit courses got attention. Now, by 2013 these things have changed and need to keep moving Springboro students forward. Will they keep improving or will Malone et al. keep up his Union first/adults first bully ways? Just like before, follow the money.

You can register at Educate Springboro to get up to date information on the school board votes. Keep up on the trio and how they go back to the old ways of screwing the kids to benefit adults.

Lets watch as Malone an Stucky join OSBA-this is a membership costingf 6,000 for essentially nothing more than they already have. The Tres. Super already belong t this org.
and already pay for this, they can simply forward any legislative change notifications they get. Watch as they waste this money now being used for textbooks.

Finally, the one in four Springboro graduates that did not meet the minimum requirements to get into an Ohio college got attention, attention to our relatively low ACT scores got attention, low participation in PSEO, Low participation in AP courses and NO dual credit courses got attention. Now by 2013 these things have changed and need to keep moving Springboro students forward. Will they keep improving or will Malone et al. keep up his Union first/adults first bully ways? Just like before follow the money.
Sounds like Springboro Families and Taxpaying Homeowners have a friend among us to lead in the January 9th "internal interrogation and investigation" of Ron Malone's PAST life as insanely popular principal with the Boro Union Masters.

The January 9th school board organizational meeting at 7:00 p.m. is scheduled to meet in the high school auditorium.
Is this the time for the new "let's get back to status quo of 2000" board members to be sworn into elected office?

Isn't it ironic that the high school auditorium was where Mr. Malone's student-led protest against the new state-mandated reforms in grading and school district rating gave "birth" to Malone's Vote For Revenge against our reform minded elected officials (Mrs. Kohls, Mr. Petroni, and Mr. Rigano)? Community-wide taxpayers need a Strong Conservative Citizen to "Pre-Arrange" participation at the beginning of the January 9th meeting BEFORE Ron Malone is sworn into office as Board representative; Taxpayers have a lot of questions about Mr. Malone's creditability! We need a leader to CONFRONT Mr. Malone is public meeting.

"More people are ruined by victory, I imagine, than by defeat."

Bad losers are hard to take; but not nearly as hard to take as Bad winners (including Ron Malone, who won Second most popular in his own Popularity Contest, that he has promoted since his March 2012
protest against authority of his boss, Superintendent Lolli, and Three elected officials, Mrs. Kohls, Mr. Petroni, and Mr. Rigano.

There were no TV broadcasts of school board meeting in March 2012; and the majority of those protesting AGAINST our school board putting priority on Raising the Bar for All Our Students and Teachers were SEA union members; Youth Union Activists; Neighbors for Springboro School Levy Committee members; former Union supported School Board Members (including Mike Kruse, Craig Colston, Gentry Ellis)
along with board members Scott Anderson and Don Miller, who were sitting on the board in March 2012, and leading this protest against their fellow board members (Mrs. Kohls, Mr. Petroni, and Mr.Rigano);
demanding that these three elected officials get "out of the way" and let our "Educators" who knew about Education take control of our School Tax Dollars, putting the re-emphasis on the Adult "union employees" first; and throw our Children First Budget "under the bus" and "re-instate Malone's failing agenda of status quo." March 2012 Board President, Scott Anderson, gave his blessings to Mr. Malone to get "back to doing business as usual" running our high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those (union teachers) whose skills were not in demand.
Mr. Malone admitted in his Springboro Life Magazine interview in May 2013 that his skills did not FIT with the school district's Vision of Reform for our Students First 21st Century Quality Classroom Education; And now he tells Springboro Families that he Wants to
Define the role of the board in the school system and restore people's confidence and trust in the school board and to make sure student's educational needs are met, such as special needs and advanced students in a way that is fiscally responsible.
People in this community should have opportunity, before Mr. Malone is sworn in as Board Representative, to ask him WHY (as high school principal) his Tactics of Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources
(running our high school like a union shop) ROBBED taxpayer-funded resources from areas of greater need in the district.
People in this community should have opportunity, before Mr.Malone is sworn in as Board Representative, to ask him WHY he Chose making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose
skills were not in demand; causing the "least of these" ....Our Gifted and Those in Need of Early Intervention, to suffer the most.
Mr. Malone ran a Vote For Revenge School Board campaign based on his name recognition of being insanely popular with the community;
but the community did not know the True History of this man who has been a high school principal for the past 13 years. Mr. Malone has had good run "hiding his True History" just like he hid the results of the Warren County ESC reports that cost Taxpayers about $8800; but Time has now run out on Mr.Malone. Inquiring minds want to know
WHY?
Why should we the people ACCEPT the leadership of this former high school principal that can no longer be trusted?

People in this community need to ask community business man, Charles Anderson, who previously served on the Board of Education from 1996 to 2000, exactly WHY he would like to "see the board become a member of OSBA again?" Has Mr. Anderson's Year 2000 tunnel vision of status quo blinded him to the progress of our school district's Vision of Reform and the progress made in the past TWO years putting students first, while maintaining fiscal integrity, with our school district leaders and our board members working together within the framework of our Children First Budgeting .... in the direction of ……….
OPPORTUNITY for All teachers, students and community taxpayers?

Inquiring Minds would ask Mr. Anderson exactly "which previous experiences and business knowledge" as a business owner of Anderson Funeral Home" led him to WANT to see the board become a member of OSBA again....just like the old days of the Year 2000? In what way does
Mr. Anderson’s WANTS of Status quo OSBA membership for board members FIT our Students First 21st Century Education NEEDS? Isn’t it REALLY the NEED of the OSBA to SELL membership to local school board members that financially supports the WANTS of the OSBA?

Anderson also said he chose to run because he wanted to give something back to the community, and he wanted to bring more "balance" to the students and their accomplishments, and NOT the board. WELL, duh! Doesn't Mr.Anderson know that OSBA membership is ALL about the board "re-instating Malone's March 2012 status quo" .... wasting thousands of our school tax dollars on the Symbolism of Board Recognition; while throwing our "students first” OFF balance; ......
putting the emphasis on the BOARD MEMBER's
RECOGNITION of being a member of OSBA (just like the old days) with no benefits whatsoever to our Students First?

People in this community should ask Mr. Anderson how Wasting our School Tax Dollars on symbolic OSBA membership (just because other school districts blindly follow status quo) FITS into our school districts Vision of Reform for our Students First, while maintaining fiscal integrity? Inquiring minds are asking IF Mr. Anderson is being truly honest with our community as a whole, when he states in the November 14 newspaper that "one of his goals while on the board is to continue the fiscal responsibility......" AND did he really run because "he wanted to give something back to the community" ………………
OR take something BACK from our Students First?
Just keep in mind that Mr. Anderson joined Mr. Malone and Mr.Stuckey along with the NFSS levy committee, promoting asking Taxpayers for MORE renewal levy amount, than the school district actually needed.

Thank Goodness, we still have TWO board members, Mr. Petroni and Mr. Rigano, whom we can trust to be HONEST about what is needed through 2017. Inquiring minds would remind Mr. Anderson, Mr. Malone and Mr. Stuckey that Renewal Levy SAVES Taxpayers $6.5 million over the FIVE YEAR LIFE of the levy, while CONTINUING to generate surplus. And all the progress made in the last two years was accomplished by our school district leaders and reform-minded elected officials working together at the LOAL level; and this is working together toward sustainability. The staff of the Ohio School Boards Association, headquartered in Columbus, and financially existing on the local taxpayers backs by "selling" OSBA membership to status quo minded board representatives, have NO place in our local school district’s business of educating OUR Students, putting priority on highest academic achievement, while maintaining fiscal integrity.

I have heard from a few well placed individuals that Ron Malone is not interested in exploiting his talents for the benefit of all the children educated by this district. They say he will be content to sit in the central office, do nothing, pout, and throw hand grenades at the school administration.
I prefer to think of Ron Malone as the type of man who is aware of the clock that ticks for us all. He is more than cognizant of the fact that his time as a principal is limited and ultimately he must leave that position. Given the new realities of the teacher's retirement program, staying past next year would cost him nearly $12,000 per year for the rest of his life. That would turn into quite a tidy sum in a few years.
I believe with all my heart that Ron Malone will stand up like a man, recognize that as a public servant he is being asked to serve in a larger capacity for the greater good of our future generations. It may take him some time to warm up to the idea, but once he does great gusto will spew forth.
I refuse to believe, like some others, that he will sulk away an opportunity to make a profound difference on the lives of his young charges.
As the man who led our school district as high school principal for 13 years, Ron Malone held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community. How he chose to use those gifts is revealed in the public records reports of his professional peer reviewers, his superior, and his own public pronouncements.

As the man who threw away his opportunity to serve in a larger capacity for the greater good of our future generations, his great gusto of Vote for Revenge AGAINST our Students First
Vision of Reform for a better future, has now been "spewed forth" with a burning Vow to
put things back the way they were in the glory days of the good old boys Union First ways!

Just curious, how can an employee of an organization get away with throwing a hissy fit and saying NO No No No I won't go when they have been given the opportunity to improve the whole organization and how selfish to be so spoiled.
<quoted text>
Above post was dated back in March 2012 when Ron Malone threw his hissy fit, proving to us all just how selfish and spoiled this man, who has been a high school principal for 13 years, really is. Ron Malone has never done anything "on the job" that wasn't in his best interest of financial gain and praise and worship from the union members and pro-levy activists; and that's from the principal funds that he had to benefit from, or else he would not take his time to offer school pictures to students; all the way to leaving employment at the time that he could benefit the most from "taking the buy out deal." Had it not been for the $12,000/yr financial gain, Mr. Malone would have thrown the same hissy fit in 2013 that he threw in 2012; what a mean-spirited selfish little man; and he is also a liar! Can't be trusted in the board room!

Why not shorten your time spent on this blog reading what you say "people" get tired of listening to.... That's the power of choice! I choose to run on and on about my interests; but those who are not interested are not obligated to read, nor "opine."
