But seriously... stay alert voters! Ron Malone's goal to INCREASE
TAXES for contract negotiations with the union (possibly in 18 months or so)... is NO laughing matter!

The HONEST truth is that Malone's goal of Increased Taxes, if
reached, will ROT a hole in the SUBSTANCE of the ever-so-thin
wallets of all Springboro Families and Taxpaying Homeowners!

...and that means re-instating Ron Malone's PAST failed practices of Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources!

Tis the season to spread The Good News of Love and Joy to the World; and the message of HOPE for a brighter future for all
individuals--All men, women, and children around the world, including Springboro Families!

The True message of SUBSTANCE of this Beautiful Season is "Go TELL It On The Mountain!"

As usual, some on this blog of the tunnel vision kind, preach empty SYMBOLISM of "Go Shop For A Mountain of Gifts" and "Don't Forget to Support ONLY the Union Label!"

...in the direction of Beliefs Worth Living,
Keeping Our Springboro Schools and Community
Both SAFE and AFFORDABLE!

Look at Today and the Future! We Support the Progress Made in The Past Two Years!

WE BELIEVE over taxation of the taxpayers is wrong!

WE BELIEVE in supporting the amount of necessary taxation required to do the job correctly.

WE BELIEVE that excess tax money in any government body tends to inspire creative ways to spend that money.

WE BELIEVE transparency, from budgeting to policy formulation to meetings, leads to good governance in all levels of government.

WE BELIEVE in order to deliver the highest level of education we must raise the bar well past the state minimums and strive to
challenge our children, parents, and staff to reach higher. We can and must do better, our children's future depends on our actions today.

WE BELIEVE that allocating resources from areas of less demand to areas of greater demand is one common sense approach to resolving
needs in our schools. Federal and state mandates many preclude some reallocation, but we are still left with a sizable amount to influence.

WE BELIEVE that in order to take advantage of the higher level classes at the high school, more children must be put on that track at earlier
grade levels. We support Mr. Petrey's move towards emphasis on more development in the earliest grade levels. While not all children will eventually end in a calculus class in high school, we can certainly better prepare them all for post graduate success. And that benefits everyone.

WE BELIEVE that the future belongs to technology. It is absolutely essential that we recognize technology not as a means to an end, but as a
conduit through which knowledge flows. Much like the wires that flow to our houses bringing electricity, our technology investments are being
made to ensure the future flow of knowledge to our children.

WE BELIEVE that leveraging school fees, services, personnel decisions, safety, or infrastructure maintenance to threaten families in order
to influence regular or levy elections is wrong.

WE BELIEVE, as Mr. Petrey stated in the November 14, 2013 issue of Springboro Star Press, expressing Thanks to the Community for Passing
Renewal Levy:

This district has come a long way from the divisiveness of past levy campaigns, and we did so by listening to many voices and many perspectives.
We hope you all will stay informed and involved. As you know, great things happen in our schools each and every day. They happen because
we work together--students, families and parents, teachers and staff, and our community -- on behalf of our students. These are truly community schools, and that was reflected in the voters' approval of Issue 14.

In the direction of being repetitive (which seems to be what happens here):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Tripol ...
The 1796 Treaty with Tripoli states that the United States was "not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" (see the image on the right). This was not an idle statement meant to satisfy muslims-- they believed it and meant it. This treaty was written under the presidency of George Washington and signed under the presidency of John Adams.
Who were the Founding Fathers? American historian Richard B. Morris, in his 1973 book Seven Who Shaped Our Destiny: The Founding Fathers as Revolutionaries, identified the following seven figures as the "key" Founding Fathers:
John Adams
Benjamin Franklin
Alexander Hamilton
John Jay
Thomas Jefferson
James Madison
George Washington
Of these, only John Jay can be considered an orthodox Christian. As Congress's Secretary for Foreign Affairs, he argued (unsuccessfully) for a prohibition forbidding Catholics from holding office. On October 12, 1816, Jay wrote, "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest, of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." It is John Jay that the modern Christians have in mind when they talk about the Founding Fathers. Luckily for the rest of us, and all freedom-loving Americans, he was not in the majority.

You Are Wrong, IF you are seriously misled into really thinking that "the discussion of the 1796 Treaty..." is what seems to be happening on this blog.

Truth is, what's happening on this blog is a continuing discussion
of the February 2008 DDN article "Springboro voters should say yes
the first time to school levies."

Inquiry minds are asking WHY "no choice no debate" continues posting like a "constitutional fanatic" that can't accept the differing views of our diverse community of voters; and refuses to change the subject. Why is that?

Could it be that you actually BELIEVE that your status quo blah blah about the constitution will take voters minds off the
teachers contract negotiations and Malone's upcoming badgering
and emotional blackmailing of Springboro families to "either pay up with increased taxes for the union teachers greed; or face
the threat from our union teachers to walk out on our children's classroom education?

Could it be that you are so blinded by your insane loyalty to Malone's failed practices of the past, to the detriment of our students highest academic achievement and waste of our school tax dollars, that you actually believe that this retired double dipper educator, Ron Malone, can Take back HIS board room for "we the union teachers rule OVER we the taxpaying public"; when the truth is that Ron Malone NEVER owned the Taxpayers Board Room, not even while he was employed by Taxpayers as high school principal for the PAST thirteen years?

All that Ron Malone OWNED during his time of employment in our schools was his manipulative INFLUENCE that he held over OUR STUDENTS, HIS CAPTIVE AUDIENCE, running our high school like a Union Shop, using our High School Students Program of Studies, in the CREATION of classes with scant demand to ENSURE EMPLOYMENT for those "professional educators" whose skills were NOT in Demand in
our children's 21st century classroom education with a QUALITY
teachers in every classroom. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.

Now that we know that Our Children's First Budgeting Works for
ALL our Students, School Employees, Springboro Families and
Community Taxpayers, Why would common sense Taxpayers allow
Ron Malone to run OUR Board of Education like a union shop--
making up classes to ensure union teachers employment--just like
he did when he was high school principal?

Education is all about money and power and who has control. Our community of taxpayers are now focusing on our responsibility in the board room, making sure that our retired educators do not force their chosen religion of Unionism down the throats of ALL free citizens in our community; as our former SHS principal, Ron Malone, forced upon our students, running our high school like a union shop, wasting taxpayers money by listening to recommendations from the union president to make up classes (even though there was scant demand) to ensure employment for
more, more, more, union teachers, who in turn, would be forced by Unionism to pay more, more, more in union dues... to the school district, to the OEA, and to the NEA!

What a scam Mr. Malone had going for him! Is it any wonder that he threw a community wide temper tantrum when he was asked to UTILIZE his skills to better SERVE our students; choosing instead status quo business as usual, SERVING the greedy self-interest WANTS of the union masters?

No Debate About It. Mr. Malone will NOT have the luxury of CHOOSING union first OVER our Students First, now that he is under the scrutiny of transparency, accountable to ALL community

Sorry...No can do! ONLY our highly paid union teachers in every classroom can afford to LIVE the REALITY of taking a few days off
from work, on Snow Days, to go Skiing! Oh..what Fun that must be!

The REALITY those of us earning our daily bread in the private sector get only ONE vacation during the year, AND no "late start to work days." Oh..what Fun it must be to have the job security of the union teacher in Springboro, with great pay and compensation/benefits packages that can only be for the private sector worker "visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads."

Truth be told our highly paid union teachers in Springboro (and retired educators Ron Malone and David Stuckey) are so out of touch with the REALITY of Taxpayers who are constantly bullied
to INCREASE TAXES FOR EVEN HIGHER UNION WAGES... that they don't
even appreciate the simply joys of everyday living... like a week of vacation during the summer, to enjoy the fruits of our own labor... without the emotional blackmailing that the first day of school will be disrupted for our children, IF taxpayers don't
agree to pay more, more, more!

Stay Alert Voters! Now is the time to Look at Today and PLAN for the challenge of Future Teachers Contract Negotiations coming at Our Board of Education Members in early 2015! Let's Stay the Course of the progress made in the last two years... and send a Clear Message to Anderson, Malone, and Stuckey that Taxpayers are moving ahead in the direction of NO NEW TAXES!

Based on the True History of Malone's job performance evaluation,
he is a "Reluctant" responder to requests of his superiors to
affect changes needed to "raise the bar for all our students and
teachers." We may need to REPEAT this message many times on this blog and in the board room, beginning next year.

ND, don't waste your breath. It's too late for this person to get a life, or a job. I'm certain that I know the identity of this individual. All this person seems to want to do is attempt to make virtually everyone around them as bitter and as miserable as they are.

The More You Know about the True History of Ron Malone through official documents written by third party observers, the more proof is shown that it is not as golden as you have been led to believe.

As the man who led our school district as high school principal for 13 years, Ron Malone held a special place of trust, authority, and influence in our community. How he chose to use those gifts is revealed in the public records reports of his professional peer reviewers, his superiors, and his own public pronouncements.

The recent note from Mr. Tom Isaacs of the Warren County Educational Service Center in defense of Mr. Malone is noteworthy in that it DID NOT REFUTE any of their prior conclusions or recommendations.

DECEMBER 2010 - Warren County Educational Service Center audit report on SHS program of studies RECOMMENDATIONS page 13:

"Increase the number of students taking the HIGH SCHOOLS THAT WORKS recommended curriculum/Ohio Core each year by at least 25 percent.

"Increase the percentage of students taking college preparatory courses. Eliminate any course offerings below the college preparatory level."

JANUARY 2012 - Superintendent Gene Lolli's annual performance evaluation of Mr. Malone notes:

"Mr. Malone does demonstrate the ability to affect change, but sometimes very reluctantly. It sometimes takes numerous requests by Superintendent before changes are implemented."

Mr. Malone needs to improve on getting request goals to the Superintendent in a timely fashion. Examples include: Requested schedule of events for delayed start at the beginning of the year, at semester, and last week and have not yet received. Also requested times and dates of all staff meetings and quarterly updates on the High Schools That Work per 2011-2012 job targets.

JANUARY 2013 - Warren County Educational Service Center audit report on SHS program of studies page 10:
"SHS still offers GENERAL LEVEL CLASSES (Algebra 1A and 1B, physical science, US History, and World History). Thus, not all students experience a college preparatory curriculum. Documents provided to the Technical Assistance Visiting (TAV Team indicate that contrary to the High Schools That Works philosophy, SHS believes that offering LOW-LEVEL COURSES is in the best interest of students. This belief, however, WAS NOT SUBSTANTIATED by research or data."

2013 US NEWS ranking of high schools in Ohio ranks King’s #23, Mason #35, Bellbrook#37, Brookville #41, Lebanon #48, Centerville #49, Waynesville #53, Monroe #90 and , and finally Springboro #97.
Given our district’s stated 40% gifted population, the fact that only 20% are on track to take A/P classes in high school, our district is severely underperforming compared to those districts around us in my opinion.

*Number of Dual College Credit Classes available when Mr. Malone
retired - 0
*Number of Dual College Credit classes added after Mr. Malone retired June 30, 2013 - 6

Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources: 34 out of 77 elective classes at the high school had less than 20 students, more than a few had multiple classes.
IE: Children’s Literature, 2 classes – 27 total students, Entrepreneurship, 2 classes – 20 total students, etc.

Based on these Public Records Truths, the conclusion is that Mr. Malone ran this high school like a union shop, making up classes with scant demand to ensure employment for those whose skills were not in demand. This tactic robbed resources from areas of greater need in the district. Those who suffered the most were the gifted and those in need of early intervention.
