That's a fair point. How did the inexperienced board of Kohls, Petroni and Regano spend your tax dollars? The inexperience of Bitner and Vaughn is something I am willing to take a chance on. The big three have given me no reason whatsoever to cast a vote for them. None.HOW WOULD AN INEXPERIENCED SCHOOL BOARD MIS-USE OUR CHILDREN'S FIRST BUDGETING SCHOOL TAX DOLLARS?

The issue isn't the tax-dollar spending, it's the time wasted chasing partisan politics and using our children as pawns all the while having the DDN act as our school news site.

The only "sharpie of shame" here is that mean-spirited badd for boro mama, known around town as Ron's Go To Gal!
I've seen the way school board candidate Ron Malone, who has been a high school principal, handles the SIMPLE code of conduct for students, according to their own student's policy and by-laws;
leading his kids into hostile protest against authority.
Not at all professional of educator Ron Malone, with 41 years of past educational experience, to throw a hissy fit against his boss, Gene Lolli, in order to keep our kids's future left behind,
one more year, just because the SEA president was not happy about losing Ron Malone as his Go To princiPal.
Principal Ron tried to "turn back time" after Gene Lolli left employment as superintendent; and went crying to the powers that be, wanting a second change to put STUDENTS FIRST! Sorry, Ron,
you only get ONE CHANCE to be FIRST RESPONDER; and you chose to
be FIRST RESPONDER to the needs of the SEA president, Scott Maney,
leaving your students behind!
Ron Malone chose to just say NO to our Students First need of leadership into a 21st Century Education...
The time has now come for Springboro families and taxpaying voters to just say NO WAY to Ron Malone's status quo way of wanting to turn back time and recapture the long past glory days of the
good old boys!
Just Say NO to school board candidates Ron Malone, David Stuckey, and Charles Anderson. A union controlled board would be the
greatest detriment to our children's future education and success of our schools and community!

HOW WOULD A UNION CONTROLLED SCHOOL BOARD MIS-USE OUR CHILDREN'S FIRST BUDGETING SCHOOL TAX DOLLARS?
Simply put, a Malone/Stuckey/Anderson controlled school board would re-instate the business as usual SEA agenda of union first best financial interests..... No fresh ideas, No Fixing Budgets, No Levy Alternatives... Just business as usual...Assuming the only solution was higher taxes and hoping for a new levy to pass.
Why would our community want to go back to Malone/Stuckey/Anderson status quo leadership?
Why would anyone who cares about the future of our children, our schools, and our community not vote for David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn as our next two board representatives, who will provide continuous 4-1 BOE majority Children First Budgeting successful leadership?
We believe in the fresh ideas of school board candidates David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn to be the right fit with our current board and school district philosophy...
To deliver the highest level of educaton we ust raise he bar well past te state minimums nd strive to chalenge our children, parents, and staff to reach higher. We can and must do better, our children's future depends on our actions today.
Spread the great news that
Students First/Responsible Budgeting
school board candidates
DAVID BITNER And KOLTON VAUGHN
are Parents Representing Parents
who should be elected our next
TWO school board representatives!
VOTE NOVEMBER 5, 2013!

Malone and Stuckey are by no means "inexperienced".
The majority of voters and parents in this district have a very thorough understanding of Malone and Stuckeys respective long time experiences in fulfilling ongoing "needs" of comrades within the teachers union. Particularly after they'd been employed for multiple decades, public sector employees like Malone and Stuckey tend to evolve an underlying habit of self entitlement, all the while attempting to display innocent poker faces.

This is a pivotal school board election. The outcome of this election will affect the direction of this district for years, and possibly decades to come. We may choose to regress toward a repetition of many of the mistakes this district has made in the past by consciously voting for a union-controlled school board.
Or we can stay the course by continuing in a fiscally responsible manner, ensuring that meeting kids’ educational needs are the first priority. The school board exists to represent the interests of parents and the public providing a check and balance to assure the school system meets the needs of the community.
Parent and community representation are critical. David Bitner and Kolton Vaughn are both parents of children enrolled in Springboro Schools and have committed to making education their top priority. Bitner and Vaughn support the “Children First” philosophy.
Two of David’s and Kolton’s opponents – Ron Malone, former high school principal and David Stuckey a former teacher – retired this last year. Electing these two and their partner Charles Anderson would create a school board where none of the 5 members is parent with children enrolled in school. My advice is to elect a couple of men with young kids to the board. The school district already has 400 employees with Education background and experience.
Unions are doing to public education what they have done to GM and Chrysler. Quality of education is declining as the unions force more money into compensation and away from improving the product – highly educated children. The result is persistent requests for additional taxes as the school system’s resources are drained.
Our board has been able to strike a balance that is sustainable, but negotiations will begin again in March 2015. The teacher’s union supports the Malone, Stuckey, Anderson ticket and hopes to get two very friendly allies on the school board. It is important to have Bitner and Vaughn on the board as advocates for parents and children during the next round of negotiations.
A UNION CONTROLLED BOARD WILL PLACE PRIORITY ON MEETING THE DESIRES OF ITS MEMBERS.

All I can say is that I have known LAMB & WADE for a long time and their goal is to get as much out of the taxpayers as they can while saying things like "I am there for you." I am sorry but they BOTH are sheep is WOLFS clothing and they need to leave. Look at the facts.
In the past year, WADE & LAMB allowed the fire chief to place a 4.5 mil levy to the voters of Springboro and Clearcreek Township – this with a reserve of seven million dollars in the bank. In my opinion, the trustees, administrators, and fire chief act as charlatans. Their demeanor is palter. They fabricate to save their own careers and this behavior must end.
Over the past few years, Clearcreek Township has made the headlines, and not in a positive manner. Issues of a trustee selling insurance to the township employees,(a OHIO ETHICS VIOLATION), WADE purchasing property with TAXPAYERS money for a new park, while lining his friends pocket with over a million dollars of TAXPAYERS money and not completing the Patricia Allen Park, a police officer fired for following orders and the trustees paying over $90,000 for their defense to fire him, failed policies in the fire department and even closing a fire station, an assistant fire chief accused of identity theft,(A FELONY) and the trustees being charged with violating the Ohio Open Public Meeting act, which they are currently having to defend with taxpayers funds.
It is time to do some real soul searching and look past the LAMB & WADEs pseudo platform. Cathy Anspach is the ONLY trustee who took the HIGH ROAD, is ethical, and has used SOUND JUDGMENT.
You have to ask yourself – has WADE & LAMB lost their moral compass? Are they really looking out for your best interest? The citizens of both SPRINGBORO & CLEARCREEK vote this November on the Clearcreek Township Trustees. Please consider voting for Steve Muterspaw & Cathy Anspach. They WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN – as WADE & LAMB has.

WOW!... Thank You, Informed!
Now that we know the truth about Wade and Lamb, we can all get out there and spread the news that Wade/Lamb leadership is b-a-a-d business practice for the future of our community! Why waste your vote? Why not vote for Township Trustees that can be trusted with our hard earned money; and who do not feel entitlement of owning it all!
We have a clear choice on November 5th:
Status quo Wade/Lamb b-a-a-d business as usual
OR Re-elect our Trusted Trustee, Cathy Anspach,
and vote for Steve Muterspaw to join her in
fiscal responsibility leadership, keeping our
community both safe and affordable!
#28147 Oct 22, 2013
This is exactly right.
While Ron Malone was Principal our students lost many years of progress. Not 1, Not 1 Dual credit course- all other schools even the Warren County Career Center has about 10 Dual credit courses. This is the first year our students will be able to excell. The only reason our high school did so well is because we handed this high school superior students but Ron Malone ignored their needs for the needs of the unionized staff, which included his daughter and wife. Please give me one good reason we should let him go to the top of the org chart and guide this district downward again.

Just so you know I read the two High school reports;
HS TAV audit done by the feds in 2010 and the ESC audit done in 2012 and OMG.
I am sick from them. I see now why the board wanted to move Malone out, they were actually being very nice not telling everyone what the he__ was going on in the HS. Malone why didn't you help the kids? Why didn't you do what the HSTW audit told you to do for many years? Why when they told you your HS was even further behind than the audit of 2008 did you not do anything and actually the ESC audit from 2012 says our High school was losing ground from previous years instead of gaining ground? Those were our kids you screwed.
Why would anyone in their right minds vote for Malone and Stucky goes without saying.
Malone why did you keep our students from getting into mare AP courses? Malone why did you keep our students from taking PSEO when the feds told you to use this as a track. Malone why did you keep the lower track of classes when everyone told you they were doing away with that track to push students forward to challenge them? WHY? WHY? WHY? OMG WHY
#28149 Oct 22, 2013
So if I follow your logic train to its inevitable meeting with the blown up bridge, a high school diploma should be worth more than a college degree because you spend more time in high school classrooms than you do in college classrooms for four years?
Had not Mr. Malone dumbed down the program of studies in Springboro whilst all those around us raised their bars, maybe this conversation would have some validity.
#28150 Oct 22, 2013
WHY? All's Ima Saying is ....
Because he was EMPOWERED by our former school superintendents,
our previously UNION controlled school board majority, and
the SEA President/pro-union levy activists groups...
These pro-union activists, indoctrinated by the OEA, are some of the worst people that Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners have to deal with as to radical social behavior. They have the destruction of America in their minds and they are terrible people because their ideology makes them corrosive. They openly use
children to execute their maniacal plans for social progressive
changes at the expense of society, and this defines their essence.
Wars are won by taking away from the other side the will to continue fighting. These OEA indoctrinated attacks are directed
at good parents (including Kelly Kohls who is a BOE elected official); And these war of words attacks extend to all local
taxpayers who dare to support our school districts agenda of
History proves that these union activists can be led to the
TRUTH; but the TRUTH cannot be forced upon them; and the TRUTH
will not be accepted by them.
All's Ima Saying is that we have to get to the polls on
November 5, and Simply Put, vote Ron Malone and David Stuckey
out of the board room.
WHY? Because the future of our children, our schools, and our community depend upon it!
Remember on November 5th...
VOTE ONLY FOR STUDENTS FIRST/RESPONSIBLE BUDGETING
PARENTS REPRESENTING PARENTS!
ONLY DAVID BITNER AND KOLTON VAUGHN SHOULD BE OUR
NEXT TWO ELECTED BOARD REPRESENTATIVES!
#28151 Oct 22, 2013
The short answer would be NO. The district did cut one A/P Art History class that had scant numbers enrolling. You can't continue to subsidize classes that fewer and fewer students are taking. That process robs other children of resources that may be better deployed elsewhere serving more children in a positive fashion.
Some people on this discussion board wish to hear that everything will be offered no matter how little interest we have in the program nor how much it costs.
Unfortunately we do not live in that world, we exist and thrive in a real one where adults sometimes have to make choices in regards to where their scarce resources are going.
#28152 Oct 22, 2013
Why did Mr. Malone, with his 41 years of excellent educational experience, never seem to exert his influence and leadership for the benefit of all the children of Springboro?
As the defacto leader of the school district, was it not his responsibility to lead in a way that would produce positive results for all students?
The High Schools That Works program audits our high school every three years. There are repeated mentions of increasing the rigor of curriculum, increasing the participation rates of our A/P classes, putting more emphasis on getting children college ready. They show up with each audit as though no one was paying attention to the recommendations.
"Documents provided to the TAV Team indicate that contrary tothe HSTW philosophy, SHS
believes that offering low~level courses is in the best interest of students. This belief,
however, was not substantiated by research or data."
Professional peers trying to be nice wrote that for Mr. Malone in January 2013.
With 13 years at the helm to fix the problem, Mr. Malone opted instead to take a different tact and use his large store of influence in the community to reduce the strength of the curriculum.
#28153 Oct 22, 2013
According to Mr. Malone's performance review from Mr. Lolli it appears Mr. Malone has a difficult time following through on things the team needs accomplished. The evaluation was signed by Mr. Malone on January 30, 2012.
"Dr Malone needs to improve on getting request/job target goals to the Superintendent in a timely fashion. Examples include: Requested a schedule of events for delayed start at the beginning of the year, at semester, and last week and have yet to receive.
Also requested times and dates of all staff meetings and quarterly updates on the High Schools That Work per 2011-2012 job targets."
Even Mr. Lolli was tasking Mr. Malone to do something with the High Schools That Works recommendations in January 2012.
A year later the High Schools That Works program would be back to once again chide Mr. Malone to do something positive for the children.
Mr. Malone's response was to do nothing.
