...And here lies the problem:<quoted text>
And here lies the problem. Everyone wants to gripe and moan about what HAS happended and noone has any answers as to what should happen or how to fix it. It's real easy to say who not to vote for, but to say who to vote for... <crickets>
As I've stated before the only names passer's by will see is Malone, Stuckey and Anderson, so guess who they will vote for. The other "side" the silent "majority" is completely quiet with options or candidates. If they did have someone that could win, they would spend their time building them up but instead just tear the opposition down.
Springboro Schools received three overall “A” grades and two overall “B” grades on the new state report card. Ohio is raising the bar with a system of A–F letter grades so that educators, parents and taxpayers can see how schools are performing and where we can improve. We are using our school performance data to guide improvements and individualized instruction for all students. For example, the savings from our efficiency plans are invested in increased gifted education and reading intervention for 2013-2014.(visit the springboro schools website for our state report card)
Inquiring minds remember when Springboro parents, David Bowman and Lisa Babb, ran a successful opposition campaign, to our reform-minded board member's proposal, to consider hiring an educational group to study the possibilities of unmet needs in our students potential higher achievements in academic education(including the gifted).
This educational study was tabled, in favor of the emotional pleas that our school district not put the Springboro Community Assistance Program for the needy in jeopardy. The majority agreed that God loves panthers; and we cannot allow the cost of this educational study to risk starving our little children and their families who are dependent upon food from the Springboro Community Assistance program.(Isn't one of the board members of the Community asisstance program a local pastor and a member of the Sprinboro City Council?)
Inquiring minds question the validity of this emotionally blackmailing argument of Springboro parents, David Bowman and Lisa Babb, since our school district has only 5% of our families qualifying for the taxpayer-funded FREE? lunch program at Springboro Schools; that, in turn, qualifies Springboro Schools to the federal entitlement program; that forces our school cafeteria business manager to increase the cost of school lunches for every Springboro family that is financially able to feed lunch to their own children.
Inquiring minds question the irony of it all....
Where is the concern of Springboro parents, David Bowman and Lisa Babb, now that our state report card issues a D for Springboro Schools "gifted?"
Why are we receiving requests from the high school principal for every family to donate food to the Springboro Community Assistance program that is now supporting food pantries throughout the state of Ohio? Why are taxpayers funding our professional educators to do the volunteer charity work of the home and the church?
