QUESTION: Mr. Malone, What do you think of the future of education?

ANSWER: Education today seems to be narrowing its focus to emphasize core courses; math, science, language arts. I'm a strong believer in broad-based education; in high school especially. Offering a wide variety of courses and experiences might spark different interests in students that could help them in college and beyond.

TAXPAYER: Mr. Malone would studying the results of that $8000 WC ESC review have helped BROADEN YOUR NARROW FOCUS of education today in the 21st century?
Mr. Malone, excuse me, Sir, you seemed to have nodded off for a moment or two...

What did you say? Yes, Yes, I can help you find the report. Here, stay awake now, Sir! There it is ..... hidden way down in your desk drawer under all those empty Donut boxes!

Great job! Now 'hypocrite' may be attached to your very notorius local reputation. This evening I'm so much looking forward to hearing the audience's reaction to your bigoted hate speech targeting Springboro schools non-Christian student population. But of course, you will never get off your tush to do this because hard core bigots double as hard core cowards.

Mr. Malone, Do you think that you could have taught the whole board room to sing in perfect harmony IF you could have included the guitar lessons in the Program studies for your Kids?

Have you had time to browse the School website new resources for students and parents with just a click on the internet? This is just awesome! Be sure to check out these great new programs connecting teachers at school and students and parents learning together at home!

The Pearson curriculum pilot demonstrates Springboro’s larger efforts to build the meaningful use of technology. The district is migrating to Google Apps in Education this year. This is a free, online suite of tools (spreadsheet, word processor, presentations) that gives students a common set of tools that are accessible at all times. This will facilitate collaboration on projects, real-time feedback from teachers, shared information and research that will promote learning anytime and anywhere.
Similarly, parents can access important information online anytime through the curriculum page on the district website www.Springboro.org . The page is being updated to provide families with a single online resource with which to answer common parent questions and concerns on instructional technology, the curriculum pilot as well as teaching and learning throughout the district.
With one click, parents are taken to an easy-to-read virtual bookshelf of resources, including Ohio Department of Education (ODE) data, the district’s ODE report card, gifted services, instructional technology, special education, the third grade reading guarantee, home schooling and English language learners as well as a variety of links for parents to support learning from preschool through twelfth grade. During the school year, the site will include a “Panthers at Work” link to highlight student academic achievements throughout the district. The site goes live online August 1, and it will be under construction as more information and links are added.

Wow! Mr. Bowman... "nice but not exactly noteworthy?"
Why not expand your vocabulary to include "Thank You" to these board representatives who have gone the maximum mile of service
(at great personal sacrifice of their time away from their jobs and their families) just to ensure a quality classroom education in a safe and comfortable learning environment for our children and teachers. We are off to a great new start of the new school year and the beginning of new challenges and opportunities! Why would any parent/concerned citizen refuse to join in the celebration of our success?

Marx was correct. Religion is the opium of the masses.
There is no such thing as "god".

The universe is infinate. It contains an infinate number of galaxies. Within these galaxies contain an infinate number of stars, of which an infinate number most certainly have life-supporting planets orbiting around them. So thus, because the unverse is infinate (endless), an infinite number of planets not only support alien life, but also support INTELLIGENT alien life. If an alien from one of these life-supporting planets should ever land here on Earth, would you be the Earthling hypocrite that would dictate to them "the god of the universe", which was fabricated here on Earth 500 to 1000 years ago from half-historical fact and half-storybook fantasy, should be THEIR "god" too ??

Jump onto science and hang on tight. It's been and continues to be an enlighening ride into our future. Science will someday learn of the true origin of the universe and in this magnificent discovery there will of course be no hypocrite's "god".

Elections come and go, but the influence of good leadership by the people, for the people, and of the people stays in our community and grows forward, just as time always goes forward.
Even though our Springboro/Township government centers/community-city schools are ruled by deeply-rooted Unionism, there still is no government entitlement of "elected office" (not even to those that have been oppressively ruling for 40 years and are insanely popular).

How enlightened and tolerant you are. Is the church we are to leave it in the Baptist church here in Springboro? You know the one, where the pastor had to give a very pointed sermon about a certain Levy Mom to keep her school politics out of the church?

Left - Right - Left - Right... get the Big Picture?

All Republican hypocrites and Democrate hypocrites and all those hypocrites in between are all joined way down low in Boro on this never-ending journey of adventure in our future and our government schooling of unionism.

Each one of the powers that be seem to have all kinds of ideas for how the whole world would be better, and the BOE meetings seem to be the hunting ground of those who pre-arrange to burn their opposition with "their we love children more than you" with their "friendly fire." No one seems concerned with the wounds
being inflicted on the minds of our citizens who are subjected to this bullying; and with no response of condemnation of "being bullied" by these union activists continuing their war of war attacks on Springboro taxpayers. People in this community should ask themselves "where's the good for our students in all this infighting and vote for revenge campaign?

you correct in the base picture 1% one way another 1% at other end the moving factor is 98% that is hurt and confused by this 2%
current BOE has showed the postive path IF the 98% want to take it anyone can see the "other paths suggested by the candidate history but standing by the audio speakers does not make the RAP any more like music than in nose bleed area

Unbelievable! You make a legitimately clever anaology of forward progress via an illustration of 'one step at a time', then you proceed to completely ruin that analogy by resuming your incessant intolerant rant.

The bottom line is that the voter is going to have to wade through all the bull and figure out which side they believe. At this point, as far as the Malone/Babb/Stuckey contingent is concerned, all I have heard is they are running and they are "for the children." Well, aren't we all "for the children?" That tells me nothing. Tell me why I should vote for them. What will they do that the current board has not that is in the best interest of the children. I hope the answer is not to simply throw more money at what ever perceived problem exists. We've been there and done that.
As for the current board they have a record. Not perfect but, on balance from where I sit, it looks pretty good compared to when they took the reins. Give me a reason to vote for Malone/Babb/Stuckey, not a reason to vote against the current board.
As you decide I would encourage all of you to not rely on the noisy minority of parents who have resorted to personal attacks on the current board; outright misrepresentation about what the board has/is doing; and worse, are completely clueless about the financial state of the current school system. In the past they told us to pass levy after levy for fear that doom, gloom, chaos and utter panic would set upon us. Well, still waiting for it. They have their side of the story and I respect their desire to do what they think is the right thing. I simply question their motives and their knowledge of the current state of financial affairs and what it takes to do better.
Doing the research to make informed decisions requires work, but also comes with some risk. Look at Doug Weideman's posts. He clearly comes to the table prepared with numbers. What does he get in return? Crackpots who feels the need to publish his address and plane registrations. This tells me some people are not interest in the facts, so there will be no changing their minds whatsoever. The problem with them is they negate the informed persons vote.
If you don't like the current board…fine. At least make an informed decision…not one based on pure emotion. The kids of this community deserve as much.
Becki V's "peeps" of the OEA reminds her forced union "army of supporters" .... don't they (the taxpaying homeowners) know that this fight for more, more, more is WAR?
Wars are not won with kind words and placation. The OEA members are some of the worst people we will ever have to deal with as to radical social behavior. They have the destruction of America in their minds and they are terrible people because their ideology makes them corrosive. They openly use children to execute their maniacal plans for social progressive changes at the expense of society, and this defines their essence. Wars are won by taking away from the other side the will to continue fighting. This is what the OEA does to people like Kelly Kohls..... threatening the same bullying and intimidation of any other Springboro Parent who would dare enter the Springboro Schools BOE board room to "Stand Up For Kids" in opposition to the oppressive rule of the Springboro Education Association and the wealthy, affluent maney-acts of zip code 45066.

The bottom line is .... we are running to gain control of the board ..... we need the power to re-emphasis the (dollar) value of the educator.

Great idea! Because of the union's intimidation factor probably three chairs would be needed, four at the very most.
