WDTN news is the way to go!

Look at all the drama going on with the other stations!

WHIO 7.1, 7.2, and how many points they might have, will still be "working on the technical issues" a year from now. Well, they never fixed the DTV over the air signal before the move, so that, compounded with their "new set" glitches, will make it unwatchable for the forseeable future

Oh, and we have more! WKEF/WRGT 22/45 and Time Warner can't play nice! Those stations are expected to be dropped on 12/31, unless some elventh hour agreement happens. Insiders at the station said Time Warner is a joke to deal with.

That leaves WDTN without any baggage right now. And to think they were the ones losing the viewers just two years ago! Nice comeback WDTN!

WDTN was in the same place 22 and 45 are now.

If Time Warner drops them I am sure that we will welcome those folks to AT&T Uverse. One heck of a
better deal than you get with Time Warner anyway and a heck of a better Internet Provider.

I mean, COME ON MAN it's the Phone Company.

With Time Warner and 22/45 it's all about the money and nobody is the "Good Guy" like Time Warner would have you believe "THEY" are.

Most folks have cable of one type or another, few are just gettting TV through the Airwaves.

Time Warner pulls this crap every so often and I just don't care, we don't have Time Warner.

My Internet connection with AT&T screams so I'm pretty happy.

In the end the best news source in our area is WHIO-TV. They have the best Weather Coverage and are the 800 lb gorilla in this area.

I'll stay with them.

Sure there will be some "growing pains" but that means they are GROWING unlike 22 or 45 or 2.

But to each his own said the old ladd when she kissed a cow.

Channel 2 has Marsha Barnfart. I prefer looking at and listening to Kylie Conway on Channel 22.

I can handle just one local TV channel that actually and factually has twenty minutes on news, without weather and sports, of course. We have the weather channel or can get if from our newspapers, and radios and computers, like ya know, it being the 21st century now. Damn! I can see it on this monitor screen in front of me!

WHIO - TV Channel 7.

There isn't anyone in 2nd Place. Not even close.

They've always had the best News Anchors, and reporters.
And they get things right about 60% of the time, sort of sad but true.
A lot like the Dayton Daily News. The story's are partially correct.

If you have doubts, talk to someone that has been "featured" on Channel 7.

BUT THEY ARE STILL FAR BETTER THAN THEIR NEAREST COMPETITOR, AND I GUESS THAT WOULD BE wdtn- channel 2.

In Weather forecasting, Channel 7 has no equal, and now they are better than ever.

There may be a few bugs in the system but it was a HUGHE move and that was bound to happen.

There is only one thing Channel 7 lacks that Channel 2 has:

http://www.wdtn.com/dpp/about_us/personalitie...

She is smarter and more attractive than anyone I've heard mentioned thus far.

All Channel 7 needs to have complete domination of the Local News is Jamie Jarosik.
Sadly they don't.

The fact that neither of you guys even mentioned her is testimony to the fact that you are in error about everything else.

Let me say, that being me, and right 100% of the time, is a burden that probably only I can carry.

Channel 22? That must be like a "Lab" for Sinclair Students takings Journalism or Weather Forecasting.

They were great when they had ASA GEORGE and have not been the same since they lost her.
You don't know what you have till it's gone.....

I don't mind you quoting me, your friends will think you're intelligent.

Forget Jarosik jumping to 7 for 2 reasons

1. Her husband is a cameraman(and producer now maybe?) at the station, no couples working together. I'm sure 7 has enough drama without racing that horse.

2. Non compete clause. Even if she could jump over there, she would have to stay off the air 6 months to a year. If she was gonna jump, she would have done it when she went on maternity leave, would have made sense

Feel free to quote me also, your buddies will $h1t!:D

It's a dream of a perfect world, not a reality.

Don't get excited, I'm not.

Nah, Jamie will stay right where she is and really she was a lot more fun BEFORE she got married.

Jamie and Bucher were a real pair.

Not so much now.

No, I'll stick with Channel 7.
