It makes some local folks squeal because this was a good deal, like the Kmart in Huber Heights that was located in the same plaza as the Kroger store, at each end of the plaza. You had everything that you could or should normally need, including a nice selection of something or someone to breed, if not feed. That Xenia plaza was dandy and handy, for the local folks to walk and hang out and talk, not funny to have to drive and waste gas money, going far, even if you have a car.
The Kmart in Dinglewood is still doing good.

Sad to hear this. I liked the Xenia Kmart more than the Englewood Kmart. This leaves Kettering, Woodman amd Springboro. Woodman Kmart is probably the best as it serves the hillbillies needs.

There was a Marsh grocery store in the same Xenia plaza, like Kroger sharing the plaza with Kroger at Huber Heights, convenient for local folks with everything that they needed. Driving is the only controllable costs for people, especially local folks who may not smile about cutting those miles. Retail is tough and the stores just can't make enough, for the associates to be well paid, I am afraid. The Dinglewood store survives if not thrives, despite the dollar stores, Big Lots, Wal-Mart and Meijer. More people are going to Aldi and Goodwill and Odd/Big Lots to save some bills.
