Nudity at Community Center

Is it common for men to walk around naked in the locker room? My son is 9 and says there is a man who stands naked while he shaves in the locker room at the community center! Is this a normal guy thing to do and if so, why would anyone stand naked at the community center around children? I'm a single mother and maybe I just don't understand manly behaviors. I know women don't stand naked in the female locker room. I'd be shocked to see a naked women shaving her legs in the sink at the rec center.

If you see a lady standing around naked at the community center let me know and I will join. It would be cheaper than Southern Exposure.

I don't think he was watching. In fact the boys who witnessed this went in there to change after swimming after swimming. They were all laughing about the naked guy shavig in the locker room. That is how it came to my attention. I can understand changing but to just stand there naked is uncalled for. I'm sure any 9 year old boy would laugh at some grown man shaving with all his stuff exposed in a public locker room. I don't know why a man would do such a thing!!

Maybe I am just out of touch. All I could think about is that Sandeski guy from Penn state. I don't know if men just do this kind of stuff all the time or not. That is why I asked if it was "normal". I probably need a man in my life to answer these things from time to time.

I'm not going to be the man in your life.....but yeah, I think it's a little weird for some idiot to stand there naked, shaving, in front of most anyone especially young boys. That is BEYOND weird!! What kind of grown-a$$ man stands around butt naked with his stuff hangin out in front of little boys?? Geeeeshh! Sounds like the staff at that place needs to make some rounds and get a grip on that situation!! In front of little kids is pretty thoughtless, but im 55 years old and I dont want to have to look at a mans naked body while he is shaving....Put a damn towel on or join a nudist community or sumpn!!

Yeah to just chill out in there is a little wierd. I thought locker room code was: Get in. Do what needs to bedone. Get out. Keep eyes on the floor or ceiling at all times. It just makes it all less uncomfortable for all.

Maybe they should put a warning sign on the door for all of the poor folks who don't realize that a room designed to change clothes and shower might have unclothed people inside.

Dont need a "sign" everyone knows you get naked to shower, but standing around combing your hair or shaving your nads or whatever in the sink is a little much! All you have to do is read the post above by Da Truth....and "follow the code" and everything works good that way. Shower, dry off and put clothes on....not shower and wander all thru the dressing room with your stuff hangin all out in the public, then ease over to the sink and start shaving with your balls resting on the sink!! Cmon...that is not something that a sign on the door is gonna fix!!

It's a locker room, I would expect to see naked people. I personally don't stand around nude but from your description it doesn't sound like he was trying to attract attention to himself, he was just shaving. If you're concerned about your son in the locker room alone take him in the family bathroom.

Just how does being naked in a room designed for being naked at some point make one gay? Me thinks one doth protest too much.

Good point! I'm usually naked in the shower too.I don't know about you but I'm no homo. Come to think of it I sometimes shower and shave before I put my clothes back on. Could I be sleep walking??? Next time get a picture.
