Why are men and women not treated equally regarding child support?

I know a thirty something woman who had a baby with a young man just above legal age. At her age she knew just how to seduce a young man. Add a little alcohol, and show a little skin and voila...INSTANT DADDY!
After the baby was born she had him in court for paternity/support. She already was separated from her husband with two school age kids. Why did the court make him pay the total cost of paternity testing to include himself, the child and mother? OVER $400 cash up front.
Also, after getting the father's child support set to include daycare expenses, she quit her job and hasn't worked for 18 months. She hasn't contributed her percentage of the child support all this time. And didn't have any daycare to pay either. However, after the father missed one month's child support she was dragging him back into court. The court will make him pay. Who will make her pay?
Sounds to me like the whole thing was planned...new baby, more money, quitting the job. Sounds like it was all planned. This year baby will start school. Beware young men in Wythe County. She will be looking for new "baby's daddy!" She needs to get off her sorry backside, get a job and STOP HAVING KIDS!!! for other people to support. Sounds like to me that she is well versed in living off of other people. I will not debate the fact that the father needs to pay his share. But, if she really cared about the welfare of her kids she would work and provide the portion that the court appointed to her. No...she wants to be kept...and if she wants to be kept she needs to find a husband NOT A BOY!

I have no sympathy for him at all, he knew what she was when he had sex with her and if he didn't well then he should have turned her down.
That being said yes she needs to get off her butt and work and help to support her children. If she's found someone else to carry her load (meaning another man not the system) then that's her business. Sad for the kids though if their mother is just out looking for a meal ticket. If she drug him into court for non payment he should have petitioned for a reduction based on her no longer using daycare.

This is an excellent topic. i believe men are treated as second rate parents because that is how history has depicted us. Its also how society views men. As bumbling idiots. just look at the television shows of recent memory. Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, that 70s show. The list goes on and on. I have seen good fathers have their children taken away from them or have limited visitation because of this stereotype. Some men are DAMN GOOD FATHERS compared to their female counterparts.
Most if not all women will argue that they can do anything a man can do, well men can do any thing a woman can. And in some cases better. I mean no disrecpect to mothers or women but females do not have the monopoly good parenting. I will concede for every poor mothering example there are 10 poor father examples. That dosent mean that every man is a bad father or even most.
The judges, lawyers, and the gaurdian ad litem lawyers for the kids need to pull there head out of there asses and do what is right.

She hasn't found anyone else. She just lives off the money her kids get from their daddy. She just wants to look pretty all the time. Not work or get dirty.
