Teen sustains fatal injuries after head-on collision

Posted July 06, 2008 11:00 PM North Stonington _ A head-on collision claims the life of one teen and sends two others to the hospital late Sunday afternoon.

It is a shame to here about teen's that have accident's. It is happening more and more lately. My condolances to the family

My heart goes out to the family. I just hope text messaging wasnt involved or even cell phone use. Too often I see this, and have had several close calls with those drivers. It can wait till you get to your destination or pull into a parking area, and text, or call. To those who dont think it will happen to them: It can!

I agree with Brootsie. I, too, have had a number of close calls because of some jerk who was more concerned with yacking on their cell phone than driving. Hopefully that was not involved in this case.

know your facts before you make your rotten comment this teen is my nieces do you know that her sister was rush to the hosipital the night before that and had to deliver her baby early what was this teen god child the baby is delivered very very early so dont be a jerk all your life she was on her way to work love her aunt shirl

TO nonfit go **** yourself. that was my cousin that died in the car accident. she was on her way to work at to tell them she couldnt come into work because her sister just had a baby and she was the god mother of the baby. so why dont you get your facts right before you start to open your mouth and say rude thing. you must not have a child or be close to your family to kknow what are family is going threw so next time think before you write soem thing like that cause they does hurt people and you look like a ***hole now cause you didnt even no what was going on and you have to write some thing like that. So if some one passes away in your family think back to what you have write because it hurts her family and friends.

Hello, I would like to say I am very sorry to read that a person could make such a mean comment about any child dying in a car accident. A young life that has given so much of herself and a very good roll model to any teenage girl. She works and attends college and gives the rest of her time to helping kids if anything GOD took a perfect girl.
If you had a chance to know her your whole out look in life may be different. This family is such a special family and to read such a comment makes me feel sad for you.

To Notfit, this young teenager was my niece and she was one of the most giving teenagers you will ever know.She worked and after work she would voulenter cheerleading coach and also volenter at the ymca.She gave her time to other because it made her feel good she did not do drugs,cuss,or smoke or drink.She was a very good teenager so before you go and judge some one know your facts this niece will be very missed.

To the family of Laura,
I don't know her but from what I read here, she sounds like an angel,very giving of her time and herself, caring for others. My deepest sincere sympathy goes out to all her family members that LOVE her and will miss her deeply. I am sorry for your loss of an Angel.Please keep in mind that she seemed like an Angel here on earth and now she will be your Guiding Angel from heaven. I wish all the best for her sister who had her baby early, and that Laura's God Child will follow in her foot steps in life.

What I find most upsetting about this entire situation is that instead of reaching out with compassion and love, there are people so eager to lash out with anger and hatred. To those of you so eager to thank god for one less teenage driver, take a second after you finish and thank him one more time that your teenage driver, or one you hold dear to you, is still alive to make the foolish mistakes you assume this responsible and beautiful young girl made. Then take one more minute out of your hate mongering life, and if you can muster up the strength or emotions, tell your children or parents or siblings how much you care about them. And shame on you, for bringing even the tiniest ounce of extra pain to a family swimming in an ocean of it. I ask you, please, next time you feel the urge to go out of your way to be spiteful and mean, take that energy and instead use it to do something kind, whether it be a kind word, action, or even a sympathetic smile to a stranger in despair. If you can't do it for yourself or society...please do it for Laura...because thats what she'd be doing if she was still with us.
