Just curious why do some of you decide to stay in Wynne even after finishing high school? There are no jobs there, and there will never be any decent paying jobs there until the town's workforce becomes more educated. Since you Wynne folks don't value education and feel that all you need is God and a church, then we know that education will always keep a backseat to everything else in this backwards town. Does it not concern you all that every year, all the brightest and most intelligent kids leave town and the only people that stay are the dumb uneducated hicks and thugs? Anyone that's intelligent is not trying to stay in that screwed up town. Good luck to you all as you wait for things to turn for the better LOL.

It's sad that it's funny to you at a time such as this. Like Bishop T.D. Jakes said, "You can be up today and down tomorrow." So be very careful about laughing. That little $60,000 a year you make ain't doo-doo squat in the scheme of things. Many doctors and lawyers are on the streets homeless. A teacher just beat the heck outta his wife and was arrested and she's still in the hospital. Life can change on a dime, young one.

Maybe if some of you 'bright & intelligent' young people were more interested in improving your hometown community by bringing your educated selves back to open business and help fund/ run programs for kids & families, rather than hauling ass outta there to better only yourself it could be a great place. I got out of there as soon as the opportunity presented itself. I actually grew up in Wynne, moved away from there when I was 22 or so. My family decided to stay. Why move? I was bullied by all the punks who had nothing better to do. Wasnt going to put up with that the rest of my life. You would probably remember me if I gave my name, but I wont because my family still lives there.

THE PEOPLE WHO LEFT DO NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING!!! Stop sitting on your butt waiting for people to take care of you, open that business, fund/run programs and do something for your lazy self for a change. I do not feel that my hometown community owes me anything nor do i owe it anything. There are jobs to be had there just aren't a lot of positions for those of you who think the world owes you something! You want a high paying job that most of you have absolutely no skills for because even if you graduated high school or got a diploma through GED you did nothing to further yourselves. I certainly do not want to hear that you could not afford to further your education because those of you who think the world/community owes you something most likely could have gotten a higher degree for no cost including gas money and child care. Now remember this is my opinion and EVERYONE is entitled to that not just those who feel they are owed!

She doesn't live here, she doesn't think anyone owes her anything. She has an education and she has a valid point. Instead of people running everyone down that lives here by calling us uneducated hicks and talking about how worthless this community is they could start helping to build it up. Noone is saying give money, we are sayin kind words go further than you think and they are FREE!

Wow!! Slow your roll!!

I am educated, a small business owner servicing other small businesses, I volunteer in my kids' schools, my husband has coached many sports over the years raising our boys, we have been cub & boy scout leaders for 10 years now, we spend our money locally whenever possible, we give to our church regularly ... The list goes on. I assure you I am not sitting on my 'lazy ass' waiting for anyone to take care of me or mine!!

However, I DO owe my community my time & efforts in service to make it and keep it a great place to live, work, play & raise families. As do you, and everyone else. Community service is a responsibility, not an option or punishment.

I would think all of you oh so 'bright & intelligent' ones would see this as well. Of course, this is just MY opinion and EVERYONE is entitled to one.

Where do you think good jobs come from? SOMEONE has to decide to open the business & hire the local residents!!

How do you think schools are made great? SOMEONE has to decide to be a teacher there!!

Where do 'things to do' for our young people happen? SOMEONE has to decide to bring the program into the community, get funding for it and get volunteers to run it!!

WHY shouldn't these SOMEBODIES be YOU???(or anyone else who grew up there, leaves to get an education and comes back to make a difference???)

It's not a great place to live and the schools are mediocre. There are some nice people in Wynne, but that doesn't translate.

I left and never looked back. God forsaken place! Nobody nurtured me or looked after me as a child. Just lots of abuse and neglect. No opportunities at all. Just a trail of tears behind. Can't believe how time has literally stood still there. In fact, things only seem to have only gotten worse. So sad! Making it out of wynne alive was a huge accomplishment and I wouldn't raise an animal there much less a child! Awful!

Plan to sell my house next spring and then scoot on out of here. It would be better here if we didn't have trains blasting through town day and night, but that isn't going to change. I want a cold beer with tacos and pizza, but you can't do that in Wynne. The town strikes me as immature in so many ways, more depressing than uplifting. I grew up in a larger city, so all I notice is everything that's not available to adults living in the world. So it goes.
