There is nothing for our teens to do in this town so if someone was to open a teen center in this area, what would you want to be offered at this center? What would be something that would make teens want to hangout together doing and do you think this would be something that parents would let their kids do? I'm thinking a room with 5-8 computers in a study room, a small snack bar, an arcade room, maybe putt putt golf and something like a night club but for teens to interact, dance or just hangout with a date or friends. Your input is totally appreciated!!!

Teens these days need to have supervison. More and more are having sex and getting pregnant. I wouldn't want my teens to go off to a "teen night club" and get pregnant. Just some advice. Make sure it is supervised strickly.

BUY lots of insurance, KNOW for a fact that your rosy plan will collapse into chaos, accept that YOU are to blame for pretending that life is cute and that so are you, and get ready to blame everyone else. This town already offers the best that it can or the best that people want. As an adult in the world, I can drink a cold beer with pizza, tacos or any other foods in a number of towns or communities in the area, but in Wynne everyone is too juvenile and immature to make adult decisions and live as adults. You want stuff for kids? Make sure they are educated, and I mean "educated," not just grinning with a diploma in hand, and then scoot them out of town to enjoy life in all ways ... elsewhere. THAT is not possible here.

Three things:

1. Pot

2. Porn

3. Alcohol

Then you couldn't pry teenagers out of that place with a crowbar.

First of all, insurance would be a given if this facility were to open.

Second, it is a good idea and CAN be successful. There are private teen night events periodically here where I live and they seem to stay pretty mellow & safe.

Some suggestions for you that seem to work ...

1. Invite local teens to provide the entertainment. Bands, singers, dancers ... Whatever. Music is one of the first extra curiculars to get dumped from the school budgets so there are few outlets for it. You might increase interest by making it more THEIR place.

2. Utilize a sign-in/ sign-out procedure. Parents/ adults must drop & pick up kids under 16 here and provide names of each child attending & phone numbers for an adult. Kids over 16 still have to sign-in/out & present ID.

3. Enforce a "NO RE-ENTRY" policy. This reduces the risk of alcohol & drug use at the events and makes it difficult to use the event as a "cover" for other activities.

Good Luck!!

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Cancer

You have stars in your eyes and you're in a really romantic mood today. Your idea of heaven is to be with that special person in your life, preferably doing something very nice. If you meet someone new or a relationship gets off the ground today, things will always be rather dreamy and otherworldly between you. It will be as though real life, with all its problems, never intrudes on your time together.
