I'm new to the area and I'm currently looking for a doctor to take over my general care. I suffer from anxiety disorder and need a doctor who can prescribe nerve pills such as xanax.

Prob have to go to Jonesboro, Searcy or Memphis. Dr. Jacobs here in Wynne is a good doctor for common stuff. My experience is I go to him and he always refers me to someone else. Thankfully I dnt need medicine like xanax but I think Jacobs would be a huge waste of your time! I tore my ACL and Jacobs gave me a script for 10 hydrocodone and said go to orthopaedic!!

I have called a counseling center in Jonesboro and they do not prescribe medications like xanax or other nerve medications. They want you do practice breathing.

Dr Glenn Curtis in McCory,Ar. He is an A.P.N. at the McCrory Family Clinic. Hrs sre 9:00A.M.-noon and 2:P.M.- 5:ooP.M. You are not seen by appointment,if you are signed in 1 hour and a half before noon and closing time, you will be seen. He will sit down with you and find out what's up with your health. He doesn't rush you in and out like herds of cattle.

Yeah, I think there are too many ppeople that are dependent upon medication when they really dont need to be. I blame the doctors who prescribe them rather than give other options. And folks wonder why healthcare costs have skyrocketed.

Go to Dr. Kumar in Forrest City. He catches things that other doctors miss. He was my late
mother's doctor and prescribed xanax for her. Because of his good care, she lived at least 5 years longer than expected with good quality of life.

All of the doctors at Wynne Medical Clinic are fantastic! We are lucky to have such good doctors. Dr. Beth Bradshaw is a pediatrician and I'm told quite good. The others are family practitioners. They have a large patient base so there is sometimes a pretty good wait to get in but they are very thorough and really care about their patients.

Practice breathing? That's all it is? Who would have thought that just breathing could relieve pain. Should have been breathing this whole time.
Get off the meds people. Just start breathing. lmao

This person has an anxiety disorder, not pain. And yes, controlled breathing techniches will help, as long as one is dedicated to doing them. Or you can do like too many people do and drop a pill and go on about your business. What do you think people did before xanax?

No, I don't work there and they aren't known for paying their employees well but I have been going there for just over five decades. I've been very happy to see the young doctors return to Wynne to practice. Family practioners work long hours for less pay than many other medical specialties. The number of doctors going into family practice is spiraling downward.

Oh i see. Controlled breathing. What if the pain is a constant physical nerve pain? Do you have to control breathe constantly? This could be a problem for anyone who actually has stuff they have to do like work at a job. It would be impossible for one to control breathe constantly while trying to get work done at work.

Seriously, the hour drive to Jonesboro is well worth it. Any of the First Care Clinics are good and there are like 5 of them there in different areas of Jonesboro. Of course that's only if you want GOOD care. You can usually drive there, see a doctor and drive back home before you can even be seen at Wynne Medical.
