Quite extensive, huh? Just the movie to show the X and Y generations a glimpse into the real untold past of slavery, the massuhs and America. This movie revisits "Roots" for the young generartion. Tarantino simply reiterates what old NAPPY has been telling yawl all along but you refuse to hear. Well Quentin Tarantino brings the real deal to life. Now, maybe, just maybe, you all will understand why old NAPPY has always said slavery affects us to this day. Maybe you will see why black males dispise each other; it was forced upon them by the white man when the massuh pitted one black male against the other. Tarintino shows and tells it perfectly. The white man knew exactly what he was doing (or he thought he knew) when he crossed the sea, captured, bought, chained, shackled and forcefully brought the black man to America against his will. And what you have today, the comeuppance, is a result of the white man's actions. Tarantino took us, in his movie, where no man has taken us before. And still yet the story has not been told. But at least this young generation who did not see "Roots" will see a glimpse of the history of black people in America. They will see what past generations have had to endure in order that they can drink from the same fountain as whites. They will see the pain that others suffered so that they might have the opportunity to sit in the same classrooms with whites. Ohhhh, but many black folks especially the younger ones have become so whitewashed, they'll still probably refuse to accept the reality of their history. Tarantino showed that at one time, the black man actually did love his woman and was willing to do anything for her. Jamie Foxx tore it up!

Thank you Nappy, but in the deep dark recesses of those alcoholic brains of theirs they will never get past all that cigar smoke to see past that antiquated superiority.

Nappy negro while your fact checking google "slavery in Sudan". Your people buy and sell people like beads and thats the reason your here. The negro will use any excuse instead of accepting responsibility for their actions. Stay in the hood and whitey will keep you enslaved with our morsels of benevolence. Tarantino proved the white man can still make money off the negro. Laughing all the way to the bank using a common racial slur.

While I'm sure the treatment of the slaves was fairly representative, I think the plantations and their owners were mocked up a bit to go with Tarantino's particular style. Certainly slavery is blight on our national history. I expect few people black or white realize just how brutal and heartless it was.

My family lost many people in the Holocaust. It isn't just the black race that has been exploited.

Who says it is just the blacks? If you want to discuss your family, start a thread about them.

My dear, I'm in America, not Sudan. My facts came far before google was even a thought. And thanks for your morsels of benevolence. See, you do know that you indeed do owe me. The white man can still make money off of all of us, though he takes most of it. He even goes into schools and kills innocent little children. Doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, CEOs, teachers, governors, presidents, senators, representatives, farmers, those who get to sleep late etc., they all laugh all the way to the bank. That common racial slur you mentioned, results in aiding many a free lunch, a free Cadillac, free housing, free dental work for their kids, free hospitalization, free food and the very best of it, free education, free utilities, free clothes, and on and on all while getting to lie there in bed till mid-morning while you work to pay to fund it all. Yawl pay them and they give the money back to you. Pretty good, wouldn't you say? Especially when you can't take one dime of it with you when you kiss this world good-bye. What a promised land but still not the best.

Sweetheart, I'm old enough to be a great, great, grandmoe and I had one. So you see, I don't need secondary and tertiary sources. You've never walked so much as a millimeter in my shoes. And you've never walked the path my shoes have trod. Ohhh, but the path has gotten so much easier for me nowadays. I can walk it barefoot. Hmmm, but I choose not to; I'll walk it in high style with you paying for it almost every step of the way.

Well Nappy, wherever your roots originate it would appear were are a well fed stock. Likely a more sedentary group that wove baskets, beaded, or similar work done sitting down thus the development of the prounounced and broad ass. I'm sure your people created quite the problem in shipping as they would take up the space for two just unless they fitted them with one upside down and then alternated along the row. Also, likely a group that blamed other Africans for all their shortcomings, a trait that seems to have carried through to the present day.

You can say that again. One thing we will certainly do is eat. Old NAPPY loves to eat. I am very well fed. GOD put us in the Garden of Eden and everything we needed was right there. Eve chose to eat of one thing off limits, she gave it to weak Adam and he being a male ate directly out of her hands. He depended on HER. Yep, from the beginning, we were given all we needed, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

Sedentary sounds good to me. Make that money easy. There's no need for us to inject anything into our derriere. We were blessed with a good from day one. No need for any of those injections. We already have beautiful full lips. No need for implants; we have gorgeous big breasts. No need to lie in the sun to darken our skin risking skin cancer, getting more wrinkled and alligator looking skin. We were blessed with it from day one. You are so right. I love sitting.

Yawl shipped us nonetheless, though, huh? You needed us just that badly to build this country. And build it, we did. Have I said you owe me. If not, you owe me. I disagree with your trait message, though. I am so thankful that you all brought my ancestors here to America. I love it! Django's nappy hair looked awesome before he got a haircut.

He could've shaved it bald like Morris Chestnut. Oooohhh get your fan out ol' girl, now that's a hot one.
Better to not get them all riled up on inter-racial now, insight thinking that there is something onery and pleasant about his mouth.
In this neck of the backwoods it is only OK to say that Denzel and Halle Berry look good. Maybe Beyonce but you have to whisper it.

Nappy how come farmers who brought all the slaves over here and then mechanised their farms bitch so much about blacks and welfare and vote Republican and think they are rich and better than everyone? When in fact they are on welfare taking subsidies and begging taxpayers all the time to fund their little hobby. Lets see what farmers have done for us, bought human bondage to our country, deforested all our hardwood timber by clear cutting to plant crops, had no plan what to do with all the black farm hands that were unemployed by their ingenious devices. Now they are sucking all our drinking water away to water soy beans. Thanks farmers you are the true care takers of everything. Y'all asses will be cut one day just like welfare receipants and by Republicans which is going to be funny as hell!

They keep lobbyists in Washington. Money talks and it rules. Well, it does right now. They never thought they'd have to give up their free labor. They were so greedy for the money at the moment that they didn't give thought to the slightest possibility of black freedom and the result of that freedom. They won't completely cut welfare because they know that's their money ticket, especially now that other countries are opening up their crops. Cotton is way down but corn is up nicely. And these nitwits don't seem to understand that farmers and the wealthy get far more welfare than poor folks. They aren't taking away the drinking water. Some might have us think that, but water runs in a cycle; it's never destroyed. Water from the Great Lakes is being shipped to China. America will do anything for money. Go to a port and watch the ships come in. They're loaded down with imports from China, and they usually head back out empty of exports. Oh, but not the ships with tankers of water. Oh yeah, thank the farmers for the greatest dust bowl ever. They ruined the middle of the country due to their greed. They simply could not get enough money. They plowed and plowed and plowed till dust covered the entire nation. Money seems to be their god and they don't care whom they hurt to get it.

If you get the chance to hear/audition some Marten Django audio speakers, do so. They retail for $15k, but you can find them for around $13.6k new and closer to $11k for used speakers. You'll need a couple 100 hi-end transistor watts or about 50 tube watts (Audio Research or Lamm Labs, perhaps some Manley mono-blocks). In any event, they will inspire you endlessly. I'd recommend going tubes and using a good turntable (almost anything in the $3.5k to $8k range)
