The father should have been a good parent like mine and told us to not ride motorcycles... now there gonna lock up some impatient driver at 18. Really, that sounds dumb. Maybe instead of having that kid go to jail and have my tax dollars pay for his comfort and non-working ass, he should be killed, capital punishment, or even let go with a warning. Or maybe everyone should wear helmets when they ride a motorbike. Just make the kid take the bus for the rest of his life... that should make him get it.

Kelly we have an unbelieveably huuuuuge underage drinking driving killing and dying teen problem over here. It's freaking out of control. In less than one mile around my house there are crosses for 4 dead teens all out past their driving law times drinking and ending up dead. That's just near me. There are plenty more further up and down the roads.
Unbelievable

So people over 18 don't drink and drive?

In response to "Johnny"
You are a complete idiot for making a statement about a man you don't even know. He is the best father that anyone could ever hope to have and your remark sickens me. How dare you say that about him. The kid driving the car does not deserve to be "let go with a warning" What kind of person are you anyway? Apparantly you are not a parent. You are completely clueless. And for your information, Craig was wearing a helmet and was a good driver. He was a very good person that only wanted to enjoy his life. He did not deserve this. No parent should have to bury their child. How dare you pass judgement on anyone. You are a jerk!!!

Drinking and driving has been well publicized, discussed and argued to the limits. These kids hear about it in school and growing up. Everyone is aware of the results. This should be a death penalty case for murder because this little idiot knew the consequences of his actions.
It's just pointless in 2008 that this still goes on. What a tragedy for that young man's family to have to bury him at 20 years old.

This kid should be locked up. No bail. When will these people understand you can't drink and drive. The kid will say he is sorry. He will cry in front of the judge and get zero jail time. In the meantine, a 20 year old kid is dead. The family will never be the same again...

The obvious failure here was a result of underage drinking, and driving while intoxicated by the Golden boy. His poor judgement, inattentiveness, carelessness, and lack of common sense resulted in the death of another young man.

Has nothing to do with what state he is from, it is all about his state of mind at the time of the accident. Boozin & cruzin is a c*cktail for disaster, and this poor fool just learned his lesson the hard way. Sounds like daddy has some money since he was able to make bail so fast. More than likely with the aid of daddy's money (Mortgage the house) he can buy his boy's way to a lesser charge with the council of a good attorney.

Oh my, Freedom is a small price to pay unless it is at the cost of anothers life. Ride on brothers, and be safe always.

the video said he was high on pot, not drinking. i think its funny that these kids don't think smokin pot impairs your ability to do normal every day things. was he also drunk? i know people over the age of 18 drink and drive all the time, i myself have been guilty of having a few and driving home, so im not one to point fingers, and im sure half the people on here are in the same boat, but.....when you choose to do any substance that impairs your ability to drive and you get behind the wheel and take a life, you should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. i hope this kid spends the next 25 years in prison.

well...just another low life sel-centered loser who claims yet another life. hoping he'll get some serious jail time...along with the other loser from filthadelphia who killed yet another innocent. i'm sure he was bragging about how cool he was before the accident that he 'scored' some great stuff. time to change the laws...kill someone while under the influence, you lose your license for life...no second chances. they're all d-bags.

The sad thing is the driver will get hit with fines then have to attend classes since he is 18...... and he'll be back on the road again. I have always wanted a bike never got one due to the fact of other driver's on the road. a "fender bender" could surely turn deadly with one. My prayers are with the family........ and as for the 18 year old It's very sad to think more then likely he'll be right back on the road.

They *should* just lock him up, this is one of the problems with being a motorcycle enthusiast, it's not enough to know how to ride a motorcycle, you have to be aware of what *others* are doing and you have to assume they're not paying attention and aren't aware of your existence in proximity to their own vehicle. But this guy was drunk and he killed someone.(Meanwhile, get caught or planted with any natural substance that grows right from mother earth, and you get thrown in jail for years: tinyurl.com/1mn )

Who are you to assume he has other offenses?

the police report says they BELIEVE he was high. so lets keep your accusations to yourself till everything is settled. and throw away the key for an 18 year old who made a dumb mistake? makes no sense.

hes gonna get a punishment and whatever he gets will be fair.

its not like he meant to kill someone, its gonna be punishment enough just knowing he killed someone
dont worry about it

This is a tragedy for everyone. Didn't Nick Golden preach responibility for your actions on the news last october when his uncle Chuck Cassidy(phila. police officer) was killed by another individual at Dunkin Donuts.
I would think he would have learned the heartache death causes a family. I think he should have realized that drugs are the cause of crime in our society.
Nick and all these other teens should realize that a vehicle is a weapon the minute you have no control over it.
I pray for both families!

Very sad. He should do life for taking a life. If that was my kid he killed, he wouldn't see the light of day if he was released back on the streets.
