Okayy, i was good friends with ALL of them. and i agree with bns, they didnt mean anyharm in what they were doing, they were on drugs, and no one should ever go through what they did to that man, but i think that they should only get 5 years... i really and truley miss them!
Since you are a good friend of all of them why not do some of their time..show them how much you miss them and join them in their jail cell. You're soooo stuipd.

This is why there is birth control. Now those of us that work will be feeding these losers for a long long time - and do you really think they are sorry for what they did? If they hadn't been arrested, they would most likely do something like this again and again. We would be better off to set an example to our community and give these "boys" the death penalty. And mom Doris, PLEASE do not ever have any more kids. Birth Control baby - birth control.

bns & JJJ : if y'all are such good friends with them and were there that night - why the hell didn't you step up & stop the beating with that hammer? once you saw this developing, why didn't you at the very least call 911?

you knew, you watched and you did nothing.

in my mind, you're just as guilty as those cretins.

See the problem with todays youth is everything they do, has to be over the top. Being "extreme" is the new cool thing to be. If that means bringing a gun to school, or dressing like an idiot, or acting like an idiot, being violent, it doesn't matter what you do. As long as you do it BIG. and EXTREME.
Thanks to our culture of extreme consumerism, do you really have to wonder, what brings out these behaviors in teens? They were violent video gaming Xbox playing idiots in boring white suburban america. In an america that praises violence, soldiers, cops, guns, military, football, racism, being tough and stupid. What do you expect?
~ EXACTLY!!!! The majority of America is so obsessed and consumed with sports and "celebrities" that it has made them ignorant enough to think its ok for your child to take the back burner when it comes to a football game, what country angelina joli is adopting from today, or which famous rich bitch is gettin away with pedophilia this time.....T.V's & X-BOX'S ARE NOT BABYSITTERS!!!! all they do is assist YOUR child's idle hands and rotted minds in building the Devils Playground!!!!!! Forget about the Fags in tights who "play a game" for a living(What a man, huh!?) and the assholes who "Pretend" to be drs, and lawyers and Great People!! They are at the core of our unstable, superficial, narcissistic, drug addicted American society!!!! Spend your time & money [wisely] on Outside activities with your children...teach them about the world, culture, and LOVE!!! Stop ignoring them and expecting someone else [people on t.v] to teach them about Gods tools for life!!!(Their YOUR kids, after all!)& then maybe there will be happier children in suburban America which = a stable, well-rounded Adult for our country & economy!!!
GOD...is common sense really not so common anymore!?
Get away from the T.V, the computer & the phone and do something with ur kid!!!

Everyone here has the story wrong. I was there, and am very close with four of the boys. I'm not saying what they did was right, because it was far from that. But they had no intention of killing the man, and had no idea they did until they were arrested.
Well aren't you just stupid for thinking that beating up a man in the first place was alright!

They may not have "intended" to kill the guy, but guess what - they DID kill him. Instead of trying to excuse them their friends and family should be talking about the dangers of drugs and violence.

Those boys showed no mercy, but I'll bet they get more than they showed. I doubt any of them will get the death penalty, but they sure gave out a death penalty to the man they attacked. And for those missing them, they will probably serve less than 5 years, whatever sentine they receive. So don't be sad, they will be back on the streets all drugged up again in no time.

I agree with the poster that said they were probably not sorry either. Only sorry they got caught.
