Should 18 wheelers be allowed in the inside lanes of multiple lane highways in your town/city? Traveling on LBJ, I-35 or Central expressway all the way to Allen you find 18 wheelers weaving in and out of traffic and hogging the inside passing lane. At 65MPH we are being constantly passed. In some areas around Dallas trucks in the inside lane is prohibited. This is also true in the Houston area. Why do our local cities not impose the same and even without imposing such bans why are laws on the books pertaining to tailgating, speeding, etc. not enforced?

I recently took a trip down near San Antonion. All along I.H. 35 18 wheelers are prohibited in the left lane. The results of that were that they then drove like idiots in the other lanes instead. What has been gained?
