I hope so. Unfortunately, as said earlier I think, most drunk drivers are repeat offenders and many of them drive even without a liscence or insurance. They just don't care.

I understand immensely what you are going through and I am so so sorry you had to lose someone so special to you by such ridiculousness. I witnessed my very best friend being killed by a drunk driver who then fled the scene almost running me and another girl over. I am plagued by the what ifs also and my heart goes out to her sister. I am in the process of starting a foundation that will pay for cab rides home for people who are overly intoxicated so that maybe we won't lose one more life.
You all have a long road ahead and my heart goes out to you. I will never forget and I still am lost without my dear friend. I wish I could give you words of encouragement but for this there are no words. Hopefully you have someone to support you in this huge time of loss.

I also feel bartenders should be charged if not cutting people off or getting them a cab. Ive seen too much of that lately and then drunk come into my place of business and try to purchase alcohol. The answer is NO at the front door.

I say prison for life, no parole that is the only way you are going to keep them off the streets and from killing another innocent person. They do not deserve to live in society. Senseless. I pray for all the injured and their families.

How is it that more than 48 hours after causing the death of this innocent girl, Hughs, the DUI driver of this vehicle remains free? Why hasn't the OHP been keeping the family informed? Where is the justice for Sara? Why haven't the 4 states news media picked up on this and asked these very questions? Isn't it time the OHP began to hear from the public? A serious crime has been committed here and no one is being held accountable.

Sara didnt deserve to die. She was way to young and had alot going for her. Hughes should have gone to jail. and needs to go to prison. this was no accident. the drunk idiot knew what he was risking when he decided to drive. She was a wonderful loving sweet amazing girl. and thanks to the drunk douche shes gone. i hope the idiot feels like shit for ever. And i hope everyoone thinks twice before driving drunk..............

calm down.as i understand the trooper is working on the case and has 1 yr to file charges, and it is my understanding that he is just being thorough.you are right very senseless very painful, but i can assure you he wont do this again.
anyway we are all tired, so thought id share the origin of sara's name.as most people know, we moved from ca.the area had really bad fog.sara was born on nov 19,usually the start of fog season, but that yr we had had fog almost 2 months by then.every other night i had to goto the store for her mothers cravings, driving through the fog for a sara lee boston creme pie,or a can of yogurt.well you notice sara is spelled the same, now when it comes to middle names yoplait just diddnt work, and daniel is a common family name, so i borrowed dannon off the yogurt.that is honestly how she got her name.
it was my pleasure to be her father.
to the avilla family, god i know what your going through, no parent should ever have to bury a child, but we dont get guarantees in this world.god bless you,you know i am thinking of you.

I am so sorry to have been included in this accident and am sorry for your loss. I pray the innocent ones get through this. I hope the OHP uses whatever time it takes to build a solid case against Mr. Hughes to bring justice to Sara & Misty.

Ok Heroine is illegal - Marijuana is illegal - Cocaine is illegal - How often do you hear of a drug head killing someone with a car? You don't so much. However, how often do we hear of inebriated people killing on roads across the country? I have to ask. Why is alcohol legal?

And I'm not interested in the responsible drinking, social drinking and designated driver nonsense. You could claim the same if drugs were offered in bars and convenient stores. Tell that to the 15 year old girls Mom and Dad.

Lord, touch this family and help them through this terrible tragedy. And just cause I don't get it, why do you allow such things to happen?
