Six men arrested in Suffolk home invasions

Suffolk police announced Friday they have linked a string of six home invasions that have terrorized county residents to a Wyandanch-based ring of young men ranging in age from 18 to 21.

I want to know how these perps targeted their victims. Saying that they just found open doors and windows sounds pretty fishy to me. Perhaps, one of them had a job that as a delivery person?

These were solid middle class homeowners that were targeted not low income people. Scary,will we be faced with more home invasions due to the bad economy, inflation rate climbing, and of course the price of gasoline?

Will Long Island turn into South Africa where car jackings and home invasions abound?

This had nothing to do with a bad economy, these are career criminals who would do the same thing during a boom. Make no mistake about it, these are thugs, plain and simple. They may decide to target a certain neighborhood and then they simply case it and try different houses to see who left something unlocked. Who knows how many doors and windows were yanked on before they got lucky and found an unlocked one.

It amazes me that anyone goes to bed without locking up the house, obviously a very dangerous move.

I am just glad that these animals didn't really hurt anyone. May they rot in prison!!!!!

Amazing, Thursday's paper couldn't even provide a full description of these animals, but Friday morning the police are at a house in Wyandanch. It appears that the police report had information that Newsday edited out to make the news reflect their 'culturall sensitivities'.
How about just giving us the cold hard truth, no matter what that is. Your readers deserve it.

I actually do agree that the pattern is to wide to be random. But from the report of their priors, it doesn't sound like any of them had the 'working gene'.
