Great job - but hey, lets not forget about EMS. They did their fair share too - not being partial - we just tend to be overlooked from time to time. Blessings to mom and the little one !

"Squad car"?? Who writes this stuff?

They have been "sector cars" for over thirty years.

so, what exactly did the cops do??Cmon, we all know they just stood around while ems handled the call..its a joke. This reminds me of the story in newsday about how 2 cops delivered a baby in the ER of stonybrook hospital..like the Doctors said "wait a minute, suffolk cops are here, better let them handle it!!"

I can't understand why newsday omits important details like how the two Jims are actually "life partners" as well.

Then maybe you can explain why cops are called to a doctors office when someone has chest pains.

Quite obviously there ARE doctors who feel that the cops are better qualified to handle medical emergencies.

They are not called to the rescue. They must respond to all aided calls, this is the way the Suffolk 911 system, and most others are set up.I have had several refuse to help me lift a patient etc. And others who are very helpful.

I think we should lay off the cops and give them credit - they are first responders no matter what the situation. Hey Now - you must have overlooked the part where the article described how one of the cops blew air into the babies mouth.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
