For the last year or so, I have seen restaurants advertising that they cook their hamburgers to be either medium well done or well done. I didn't like that! I always liked them medium to rare! Now, I am a believer, and as the raven said, I am through with undercooked burgers! or whatever it was he said!

Contaminated food has been happening for many years. It is only in the past 20-30 years that it has been the big problem it is today. Recent medical discoveries suggest that it is the fault of the government doing too good a job of selling of a sanitized the environment in which our children grow. They have discovered a strong correlation between children growing up on farms having strong immunity systems and children growing up in the city with more sanitary living and playing conditions and compromised immunity systems. It seems that the immunity systems of farm children who are constantly playing or working in barnyards around manure and fields with pollen has the opportunity to develop, as opposed urban children who seldom get to play on soil and have minimal contact with farm animals. Unless the immune system is challenged it does not have the opportunity to develop. With the elderly the immune system gradually goes downhill.
My question with the recalled meat is where is it going? You never hear what has happened to it. Since the E-coli is destroyed by heat. I suspect the meat is resold as “for cooking only”. This is a class of inspected and passed meat that the USDA has for some meats that do not meet normal consumer expectations but is generally thought not to be harmful if consumed. This meat is normally used in cooked products like chilli, ravioli, spaghetti sauce etc

STOP the Fair Tax SCHEME
The FairTax Scheme is a double tax on the savings of the citizens of the US. Ask Rep Linder (sponsor of the bill) why income (savings/investments/retiremen ts/inheritances/home equity) taxed under the income tax system is not excluded from a double taxation at the point of sale consumption tax.
