Read the entire article and couldn't find one attraction that anyone would truly want waste their time or money on. Save the promo money or use it for York City crime eradication/euthanization.

People - forest/trees! If the tax comes from people staying in hotels, then where would the money come from if that wasn't the main focus of the tourist bureau? Why would anyone expect to get money if they aren't part of the process?

Mark Platts - hmmm - Todd Platts? Same "duh" thought processes?

It is a shame that these tourism promotion agencies don't see the big picture. We are talking about PUBLIC dollars that are being spent to promote individual private businesses like hotels. Nothing against York, but I would have trouble finding a reason to stay in a hotel or overnight there if it wan't for the Susquehanna River, the Rail Trail, the Museums and the Downtown.......and hosting a horseshoe tournament? Come on York ..... let's give reasons for people outide the area to come visit.... promoting only your hotels doesn't quite cut it

With DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Amish Country nearby, York's hopes for tourism are only a dream.

The "attractions" we have merely support school trips and summer camps. No one is going to buy a plane ticket or load up the family car for a weekend in York.
