Im not sure who was at fault in this situation, but I have seen buses fly through intersections in Browns Mills. There are many streets that do not have any stop signs in either direction and this needs to be fixed. Living near one of these intersections I have seen many times where the bus drivers as well as other drivers, do not slow down or look to make sure noone is coming. The Township needs to get this fixed!

I pray for this family in their time of need and hope that this is the last incident where a child is killed by a bus.

my thoughts and prayers are with the family. this town doesn't have enough stop signs and living in the area where this happened, it's like a speedway. i hope this shakes up the mayor and council to finally do something!!

Lets hope so, I didn't see the accident happen but i did happen to see the van and the bus.. this bus had to have been flying to hit that mini van that hard... Lets be real about this though.. when some thing happens like this, if your LUCKY they might put a stop sign there, and living here for years I know there are alot of these streets that are uncontrolled. our hearts and prayers go out to this family....

My prayers go out to the family and the bus driver, as everyones do in a time like this. However to jump to the conclusion that the bus was flying is a tad ridiculous. Every think how many car accidents there are everyday. Thank god there are not many bus accidents. I would have to commend the bus driver for the fact that there were NO injuries to the 21 students on the bus. You ever think the parent didnt have her children in seatbelts and that is why one is dead. You can rest assured that the bus driver had ALL 21 Children on her bus in seatbelts. Dont jump to conclusions and blame speed for shear neglect.

Everybody jumps to the conclusion that "oh the bus was flying" Did you ever stop to think that it is impossible for a bus to be going so fast when they have 21 kids still on and they are stopping every 30 seconds to drop kids off at their front door safetly? I think NOT. I know for a fact that these so called "parents" didnt have their kids in seatbelts. What kind of parenting is that? Yeah there's no stop signs but did you ever stop to think that bobwhite is a cross street and not thru street. That bus driver shouldnt have to look for flying mini vans that dont know how to STOP when you see a HUGE yellow bus. What if kids were crossing the street? How many of them would have been hurt? So how many of you actually dont buckle your kids in right? Or run thru the bus warning signs cause you think its ok and you can beat it? Yeah I feel bad for this family, but its something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Dont rag on the bus driver, the county or the township.

I know the area where the accident occured very well since my daughter and her family live on the corner where it happened. She has a 3 year old daughter and 2 year old twin daughters. Since there isn't a stop sign at that corner, as well as many other streets in Browns Mills, it can be like a freeway on these small streets. I have seen the school buses speed down these stteets so many times it is a wonder it hasn't happened before. The township needs to do put up stop signs now. Bus drivers need to realize it isn't just a job, but a very important job, keeping the children safe. I am scared to think that my grandchildren will have to ride on a Pemberton Township school bus one day. The township needs to look into this matter now. Please, everyone slow down on the back streets. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

well i pray for this family, but i to believe that by looking at the pictures it was the driver of the mini van at fault... and also if a small child is ejected from a van you can only assume that little guy wasnt in a carseat or a seatbelt, i agree that bus driver is stopping every 30 seconds, so it wouldnt even have enough time to get to a speed fast enough to slam into a van and eject that little boy...more like a fender bender, so it is clearly the vans fault, all that said my heart goes out to this family and are in my prayers

Here is another example of why I will say over and over again that these bus drivers should be setting the EXAMPLE and be a better driver than any other driver on the road. But they are not and they continue to make the headlines every week. I live near a school bus depot and there is not a doubt in my mind that the bus driver was going too fast. Most of them have no regard for any other drivers or pedestrians on the road. They should be held to higher standards than other drivers.

I see it all the time here in my town where from. School bus driver flying down the road, when I'm getting my son from school. The driver go way to fast I know those kids hold on for dear life. They fly in school zones as well. And I don't know how you can saw they stop eery 30 seconds, that crazy that would mean the stops are close together. And Karen how can you say that child wasn't in a seatbelt do you know them to say that about them like that

Yes I see the pictures. It clear why that baby was ejected the force prolly knocked him out of his seat.He was prolly in the back seat of the van, the whole backseat area is smash in.There is no way in hell that bus driver was going slow to cause that kind of damage come on.The bus driver was flying

My prayers are with all the families involved.A mother lost a child, a bus driver who will live with this haunting accident forever, and 21 students who were not only involved in the accident, but also witnessed the death of a 3 year old.

Shame! I live down the street from this family and believe that no matter who is at fault....The world just shared the loss of a beautiful 3 year old boy. His twin brother will never forget this day, and all of us in the neighborhood will do everything that we can to help out this loving family. Take time to recall when placing blame, the last time, you as a parent, made a bad choice.(when you were growing up, did your parents make you wear your seat belt all this time?)
I don't know who is a fault, But I know with out a doubt, that the van was not driving in reverse. So when I see the back of a minivan crushed, and the front of the bus with signs of an impact on it, it would appear to me that the van was in the intersection and got hit by the bus. Either way, we all need to pray for this family. They need all the love in the world right now.

like i said, "we can't say who was at fault" but it is an on going problem around here. maybe you would feel different if it was your kid..

well its clearly if you look at the pics, the impact was on the back right side of the van, the police are pulling pieces of the bus from that part of the van...so its clearly that the driver of the van thought they could beat the bus and went right in front of the bus...why are people so quick to blame that bus driver...if the mother had her THREE year old baby properly in the car this tragedy would have never happened...like i said before my heart goes out to this family, and because everyone has sympathy for this family, does not mean the van wasnt at fault!!!

IF THE SCHOOL BUS DRIVER WAS NOT GOING SO FAST THE ENDING WOULD BE DIFFERENT. IT DOES NOT GET ANY SIMPLER THAN THAT.

Does anyone honestly think that this looks like a 25 mph crash?
