Never heard of these people or their groups. Must be more of those whiners I've heard about. What a pity it is to waste one's mind on such trivial protests. Non one cares and no one is listening to whatever it is you have to rant about. Just like this post, that no one will read...

"Covering news is a constitutionally protected activity, and covering a riot is part of that coverage," Ake said. "Photographers should not be detained for covering breaking news."

It's just another example of our government abusing our civil rights.

I know, it really pisses me off too. The only thing worse than people exercising their constitutional rights is journalists who are actually trying to report the news.

Maby they were the misfits who were breaking windows and setting things on fire? It is so hard these days to tell the journalist from the protesters. Sometimes they are the same person.

Rourke was swept up as police moved in on a group of protesters in downtown St. Paul, the scene of scattered violence and vandalism by protesters, some of whom described themselves as anarchists.

Goodman was arrested as she tried to prevent two colleagues from being arrested, a producer for her show said.

Amy Goodman as far I have list
ned to her FM NPR 89.3 program
Democracy NOW is one of the top
interestingly consistent star
of the documentary type of host
in her genre more often than
not unveiling infiltration
of agent-provocateurs in other-
wise benign peaceful demonstra-
tions. All of her guests so
far have indicated neither
left nor right leanings but
genuine observations. Leaving
Amy more as a narrator against
a backdrop of well researched
historically important events.

Obama Gets Booed from his own City of CHICAGO, ILLINOIS!!!

As the latest details comes out about his relationship with an open terrorist. But I guess some "Americans" believe that National Security, and its safety is small politics, and Iran (a nation whose president said that after creating a nuclear weapon would use it against America and Israel) is small politics too?

Some liberals are so loony that they have actually convinced themselves that any terrorist attack is an inside job. I would ask the liberal to go to the Middle East where the director of CARE International went (who was shot in the head just for helping the people of Iraq) and places where our soldiers went to battle (who's beheading were video taped by members of radical islam) and tell me again how Alqueda was not in Iraq, how much you hate America and its freedoms so much that you wish the terrorists well. Nevertheless, a person's blind support for Barack Hussein Obama is truly telling.

In this election we ALL need to KEEP AMERICA FIRST and vote John McCain. And despite of Obama's disinformation campaign, McCain is the real agent for change and reform and has a history of voting against the republican and democrat establishment.

The same groups were protesting at the Democratic Convention.

Come up with a new rant.

You've never heard of Amy Goodman or the Associated Press???? Democracy Now! isn't a group; it's a television news program. The Associated Press is a news agency that's been in business since the mid-1800s.

Do you do any research before you vote? Or is it a matter of wetting your finger and sticking it up in the air? Or getting your ballot punched by Fox broadcasters and Rush Limbaugh?

You have to get out (of S. Carolina) more, and become a responsible American citizen.

Where do you see any mention that Goodman and Rourke were violent?

Have you ever seen either of them? Goodman is as Gandhi-like as they come. Liberals are citizens, just like you, who love their country as much as you do and are committed to protecting, defending and living the Constitution. We're all in the same boat, friend, so there's no need to make it an us versus them situation.

Why aren't you in Iraq if you feel so passionately?

What "latest details" are you talking about?

The US is the only country ever to have used nuclear weapons on other people. We attacked and are occupying Iraq. We did it for the oil, nothing more. If the situation were reversed with Iran, if Iran had attacked Canada and was occupying Mexico, we would be awfully angry and would object. Don't tell me that small town American militia-types wouldn't be using every tactic, like beheading, to try to drive the occupiers out.

Did you know that torture and murder tactics being used in Iraq and in Gitmo are the same tactics US govt (military and CIA) used in Vietnam, Honduras, Guatemala, and elsewhere? The drill torture in Iraq was never seen before US Ambassador Negroponte (previously in Honduras) arrived.

What's being done to people around the world in our names, in countries where US corporations want a piece of the pie and use our government and military resources to steal it for the enrichment of very few, is criminal.

Funny how people get arrested for peacefully marching or filming and it's sad that you condone this practice.

Protesters wouldn't get arrested if they didn't damage property. Not saying that the photog or Ms. Goodman were doing any of the destruction.

Law enforcement agents are trained to go after the antagonists. They are trained to know the difference between people who are yelling because they are protesting, and people whose words are inciting the violence.

Except I don't remember any vandilism happening last week to you? Or the following:

A rock was thrown through the windshield of the Alabama delegates' bus, showering the driver and retired Alabama Supreme Court judge Terry Butts with glass.

Masked protesters confronted the Connecticut delegation, and several delegates were spat upon, roughed up and doused with a mixture of water and bleach.

The "first salvo" was about 11 a.m., when a group of people set a trash bin on fire and pushed it into a squad car near Grand and Smith avenues, Harrington said.

I don't recall any mention of "vandilism" either, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

The point is the same group(s) are protesting BOTH party conventions. They only reflect poorly on themselves, not whoever they happen to be protesting at any given time.

I agree, but the there would be something wrong wrong with the media if they wouldn't report on vandalism during one convention and make it a headline story in the other.

Btw, as the media reports there was NO vandalism during the DNC and only 12 people arrested.

The YouTube video purposely omits whatever Amy Goodman did before the police arrested her.

Why is that, I wonder?
