Perhaps they are non-life threatening now because of the work that she and the other off-duty EMT's did when they arrived. Had she not been there or not been as well trained, he may be fighting for his life right now.

This woman, doctors and people trained like them are the true heroes of our time.

Yet, we worship and pay our money to sports figures or Lindsey Lohan types.

Shame on you! The woman probably did not make any phone calls. She said it was a group effort, not hers alone. Perhaps you would have made calls if you were in her place... No, on second thought you wouldn't have bothered to stop and offer assistance.

For as long as this article is, the only thing it really states she did is help the ambulance crew load him up and then comfort the son. She probably did more, but as this story is written it isn't much of a story...
