They do numerous things, outsourcing is one of them.
It's a way to move hiring costs from one section of the balance sheet to the other. Think about a company that has an HR staff, there's training, employee benefits, sick time, travel, all the costs associated with having people in staffed positions for what is effectively a cost center. Now if a company that reqruits new employees maybe 2x a year, having a lot of staff to do that and run the over HR program is a waste. They hire these RPO companies when they actually are recruiting, pay a fixed price, and when done have a finite recruiting cost fo a specific employee instead of carrying over year to year with full time staff. It's at its most basic element, a cost savings measure for companies so they don't have to have a large full time staff to do a job that is generally rare. As well on the balance sheet side, the cost is realized in a single year most of the time. |

Talentfusion really does not do much for their clients. What they are good at is hiding what they really do. Half of the candidates that the company does find is through Careerbuilder, Monster, and Hotjobs. Talentfusion purchases access to these websites and then illegally uses the same log in name amongst the company. This results in all of the job search sites that they use to lose quite a bit of money.
They will then find the closest candidates that match the specific job that they are recruiting for. Most of the time, the candidate is not that qualified, and this is done on purpose. The company makes money off the number of solid leads that they generate. So naturally, they are going to "come up" with as many as possible. Talentfusion is a poorly run company that receives too much positive attention. The negative attention should be brought to what they are really doing. They are screwing the job search companies out of money, lying to the companies they are helping, developing 1 good candidate out of every 5 they say are good, and so much more. |
