Winter weather will fade into mild weekend

Many Berkshire County residents awoke to snow-dusted rooftops and vehicles while other commuters discovered icy spots this morning, after some winter-like weather settled into the area overnight.

the northern branch of the jetstream is up in canada,the southern jet down south is trying to push up towards the northeast.so the milder airmass from the southwest is pushing up into here,so is the airmass from texas over into the deep south as high pressure is off the east coast building its ridge from the south/southwest to the north/northeast.so today and tomorrow will be sunny and pleasantly warm outside with air temps reaching or exceeding 60 degrees today,then air temps reaching or exceeding 70 degrees tomorrow afternoon.
